What is the Exact Procedure to buy an expired Domain

Say suppose an domain is expiring on June 1st.

And if the current owner dint renew it can we i buy on June 2nd.

Depends on the name and how good it is.

Some domains you have to backorder at the big 3(Snap, NJ, or DC)

Other names you can backorder at the other places or dropcatch with your own software.

Most names you can handreg after drop.

GoDaddy sure loves doing auctions. It's just a way to get more money for themselves. They do the same thing with multiple registrations of nGTLD domains and I guess now I learned from reading this, that they also do the same for expired domains.

No you could not get it the day after it expires. There's a process and the link above describes the process (which can get complicated).

It also depends where it is registered. If it is in Godaddy, it will go straight into the Godaddy Aftermarket for example.

the whole process is still confusing to me. Like on Dropcatch they say a domain has 1 day and 14 hours left before drop, yet I search for the name in half that time and it is available. Other times I have ran the search after the drop catch indicated time and nothing, 6 hours later still nothing... 24+ hours later and then suddenly its available. I haven't had any luck in pinpointing drops at all.
