WHat is the deal with 4pod

So i am on ebay lookin at the domain listings and i see 4pod.com up to $7600.

San that be for real? I know typos are selling but 4 pod does not seem like a typo to me.

So i piked up 8pod.com cause i figured that the 8 is right ubove the i.


Is this a load of you know what or are these typ names worth real $?

i was wondering the same aswell. pod names seem to be the in thing at the mo with pod casts etc...

It seems fishy... the guy bought it in October and it's bidding @ $7,600 and it hasn't hit the reserve. It could be a setup to advertise 4pod.com... it looks like it anyway.

As I'm SURE you're already aware, it's a pretty short and sweet, easily brand-able "ALL THINGS" Ipod / mp3 related name. There are NO other "POD" names even remotely close, that actually mean something (i.e. what does 2pod or even qpod, for that matter, mean?) AND are available?

OK it may be brandable but $7600 and the reserve still hasn't been met???
No way! That's crazy. I definitely don't understand the thinking behind this one.

5 minutes later: Nope, still don't get it.....

It's not even that easy to type, the "4" doesn't work with the "d" - it's too far to the right. My hands don't type like that.

I think there's no other explanation, it's just a ploy to get people to 4POD.com -- no one's buying it. I hope. haha
