I was looking for dictionary or single word domains and I just wanted to know which of these domain extensions are better?

.tm
.fm
.io
.la
.cc

i think its only country that have great economy and its nice for hacks .. internet, internet technology etc.

imho, none of the above, except perhaps .it as its a ccltd for a large country.

if you just want a dictionary word, there are lots ( mostly junk ) still available in the bigger extensions. e.g.

evillest.com
revving.net
excludes.org
tumours.info

all avail at time of posting.

personally, i'd say you'll probably be better off waiting until something good shows up in the drops and bid on it at auction.

well, you don't have to bid any more than your budget.

what's a .it cost to register/renew? $40? so if you keep it for more than a year, thats $80. all i'm saying is its worth considering what you might be able to get for $80 in a better extension, which only has a $7 renewal.

The idea is to think like a businessman. They want a domain that their customers can remember. Obscure extensions mean another thing they have to remember before they can find the website. I have a dozen names in obscure extensions, they are a lot better than nearly anything you could find now, but they are painful when renewal time comes around.

Obviously .it is the best. Italy rocks. And like to travel there.

Personally, I souldn't pick up any of the above. The .it is the best but I believe you need to live in Italy to buy it though.
