Coding a website means using a programming language such as HTML and using all its functions, parts, and pieces to make a webpage. Tabless design refers to using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and <DIV> tags instead of using tables.

If you go to www.w3schools.com they have alot of information and examples to get you started.

Coding is tough to some people you just have to have the "nack" for it so to speak. Now HTML is a basic language but I can say it does get harder when you move into server side languages like php, asp, etc.

i know --- HTML, PHP, Mysql (some), ActionScript (some), Flash, Photoshop, Basic CSS...

So would you say i know how to 'code'??? It just seems really easy to learn HTML or PHP rather than pay $100+ to code a template...

If you know what you mentioned then yes I would say you know how to 'code'. For some people its just easier to pay others for that type of work. Most likely they are working on the marketing and revenue portion themselves.

If someone bought a .PSD template (the background) I put in the neccesary language
ex. HTML and added there links for them, content they wanted etc.
thats 'coding'.... right?

The thing is that people don't just say "Press export to HTML in Photoshop." They say I want it coded in valid XHTML and CSS.

Tableless sites are sites that don't use <table>, <tr>, etc, for design elements.

Yes I would call that basic coding.

Totally different category because that is a flashed based website. Typically for non-flash based sites you either use tables or divs to hold and align your content.
