Lol, nice domain name with lot of potential uses - but as you noted yourself, very limited pool of end users. Can be flip to another domain investor for 200 - 600 maybe, but as an investment, I do not feel it, exactly because of that tiny end user pool. It can be that it will resell for 2k, for example, but probabilities are pretty low for each given year of holding.

I think this one is very suited for some interesting development, blog site about .com domain names, showcase of .com domain names, something like that.

Thank you. So in this case the range I have given for it is reasonable, I would feel those 2k-5k for potential end user with STR 1%.

Given renewal fee, it is thus imo so-so investment (your projected yearly profit is 20-50, while your fixed renewal cost is 35. This means that in average, it is balanced (you will not make a profit, but you will not loose money either, when you buy this type of names).

As per your DM, I am not interested, as I prefer at least 100x projected yearly profit vs fixed yearly cost ratio for domains which get to my portfolio (as I prefer to make profit, and not to purchase so-so investments, of course).

    GL :)

Make some sense, but given the huge number of available alternatives in new gTLD space extensions (some closer, some more distant), and huge numbers of substitue keywords which can also form alternatives (lending, lendings, loan, loans, finance, finances, etc) I do not feel this name at all.

I personally would not register it if I would see it available.

This is nice clean new gTLD domain name with strong popular keyword. It also make kind of sense together, for some particular niches. I would feel it is 4k-8k name in 2019 with STR 1% (maybe it can be sold for more, but STR goes quickly down in this case).

It seems there is a premium medium renewal attached to it, around 75/year.

In which case I feel that even nice name, math is not going to be much in favour of domain investor here (as your projected yearly profit is 40-80, while your fixed yearly cost is 75). So on average you will not make money on it, while you will also not loose money on it.

    GL :)

Personally I do not feel it much. I would not register it if I would see it available for reg fee.
Main reason is that there are too much semantically available alternatives in new gTLD space when it comes to keyword "chain".

If someone buys it, it would be probably for low - mid XXX, but chances are pretty low, imo.

I hope I am wrong, and you will sell it for some nice money though. GL :)

Tracey I again do not like this plural there. If that would be singular, it would be a perfect domain name imo, but with plural, I would personally not register it, even for reg fee.

Experiment with it during 1st year of registration, if no traffic/action/demand/offers/lawballs, I would drop this and invest money in something much better. GL :)

I do not feel this domain name.

The keyword does not go at all with this extension - as it does not make any sense. I mean, who would ever but name like this? So imo it has almost no value (or to be in line with Namepros appraisal rules, I would then say reg fee value).

Imo try to get some great meaningul combos, like huge / fun or great / fun or good / fun (those are just examples), while make sure the renewal is acceptable for quality of the combo - this will actually be then an domain investment which will work for you!

    GL :)

I would not renew the name.

Look, it can resell for 500 - 2k, why not, but STR is pretty low imo. I would feel it somewhere around 0,1% for any given year (and I note here directly that it is just my feeling, as .im is ccTLD and not new gTLD where I have much more knowledge, but I still want to comment on it - so that feeling is derived from number of reported sales in namebio, and large number of good keywords I saw dropping in last months on venues like Dynadot, etc, nothing very exact)...

If the feeling about STRT is somehow right, then your projected yearly profit 0,5 - 2, while your fixed yearly cost is around 13. This is not going to be in your favour.

I myself own 2 .im domain names (keywords human & machine) which I plan to develop in future, as I like the playfulness of .im extension (it can be read as human I am, or vote I am, etc). So imo if you want to invest in it, go for very strong keywords which kind of make sense together with it, or if that is not the case, just buy it for your own development purposes. GL :)

The name seems to be registered yesterday by you, so you still have 1 full year ahead, before it's premium renewal of approx $230 would be due.

It is interesting to note that .energy came to GA (general availability) in Feb 2015, while this name was first registered by someone in August 2017 and dropped in 2019. This can indicate that someone also saw the good value here, and even with higher renewal, holded the name for 2 years. That is always a good indication.

I think you need to give your name a better landing page, because at the moment it has only default landing page of the registrar where you registered it, and potential buyers can not contact you (WHO IS is also masked). So if you purchased this for resell purpose, you need to make yourself contactable (if for development, then this is different story of course).

As per value - it sound good and fission energy is an actual thing, this is how our nuclear plans are powered now. It is very interesting to see that fusion /energy (nuclear process of future, now still unstable and still in testing afaik) is also registered and name does not have premium renewal attached to it, only standard renewal attached there.

Anyway, I feel this name in range 5k - 50k in 2019. But I am not sure with STR for this price range in case of passive holding, honestly. I think the pool of end users is pretty narrow here, and many of them will be large traditional companies, which are already branded, etc...even if I would consider STR 1% for any given year, your projected yearly profit would be 50-500, while your fixed yearly cost is 230. This would be kind of balanced. But I feel this name might have even 10 times smaller STR in reality for this price range, in which case it would be then 5-50 projected profit, versus fixed cost of 230, and this of course would not be in your favour, at all.

Difficult to say exactly, as there are too little reported sales for .energy names atm, so I am kind of taking into consideration also similar narrow new gTLD extensions when trying to (guess)timate it.

Overall, due to it's premium renewal fee, I would say that if you are in the field (or have connections) to energy sector/energy companies & have enough financial resources to hold the name for next 10 - 15 names, then this domain investment can work out pretty nicely for you.

In case you do are not in that field, do not have real connections and need to flip it quickly (in first year, or second year), I would say experiment with the name within 1st year, do some outbound and see your results/feedback from end users. Then decide for yourself.

Name is very nice semantically, but quite borderline imo from investment point of view, not easy to say for me whether to keep or drop after first year.

I hope you will have a great sale! GL :)

Thank you for the insight, will definitely be working on a landing page soon and I've put word out that the domain is for sale and I already have an individual offering me around 15,000 GBP for it - but I'm deciding to hold on to it for the long term (5 years +) - also I've got it for free as I had $300 credit lying around for Namecheap (:

and I have bought another domain:

    whole / farm

The reason I chose 'whole' is kind of similar to whole foods, a couple of brands share the name atleast as a trading name, there is actually an agroecology scheme based on this and of course people associating 'whole' with healthy food.

It's also listed as a premium domain but the cost for renewal is only around 33 GBP for me

I feel this one as 3k-5k name in in 2019 with STR 1%. Can it be sold for more? Sure, maybe even 15k-25k, but STR will go rapidly down for this price range.

Given it's renewal of about 240 / year, from investment point of view it is not so favourable for you, imo, as your projected yearly profit is 20-50, while your fixed yearly renewal is 240.

Remark: if you are in media industry, or seo industry, or best in some kind of the combination of both, your STR can improve dramatically when you outbound the name to right end users. But with passive holding, I would stick to my above guesstimates.

This would be imo beautiful name for end users, great name to be developed.

Well, this one is the exact name of large american city, with population of almost 4 mil people.

If properly developed, I would guess ranking properties for this domain name would be just amazing. This name deserves to be developed!

Possible uses for end users : complete guide to Oklahoma City, restaurants, car rentals, hotels, tickets, to atractions, etc....can generate lot of revenue.

Imo serious end user should pay 20k-50k for it, maybe more. Of course, most end users would be concentrated in that city (aka narrow end user pool), but who knows, there are lot of digital companies who can take this opportunity.

This is name where you would need to do some outbound, so it sells. Given it's renewal is approx 500 / year, this is a name which should be developed, it is not very economic to hold it just like that. And if developed nicely, the initial purchase cost will be neglectable, considering how much money this can make as a developed website.

It can be very profitable venture not only for you, but also to the buyer, if you do an effort and show it to relevant end users who have ability to develop it.

    GL :)

Have an idea, but as always, value your opinion and experience

Private / Rentals (around $100 / year premium renewal tho)

    Thanks Marek!

Well, I do not see basically any potential for this keyword, with connection to .cloud, from investment point of view. Reason is:

There are hundreds of alternatives for reg fee for this keyword.

There is no strong semantic connection between "cosme" and "cloud".

When I put it to google, I see nothing interesting or relevant for this combo from end user point of view .. so I really was not able to discover much value here.

    GL :)
