@YairDD .tv is not new gTLD name (it is ccTLD of Tuvalu island) so I can not appraise it here, as I am simply not an expert in .ccTLDs. But you are welcome to submitt your new gTLD names in this thread. Thank you :)

@Sumeeth I feel your name TheCBD / World is not going to work very much (as even great name like CBD / World sold recently for 5k, which gives some upper limit here)....maybe someone can give $100-$200, but I would be surprised if that goes for more...still little bit soon in 2019 for "the" prefix for that particular combo, imo.

So if that would be mine, I would personally experiment within first year of registration, and if no traffic/action/clicks/visitors/offers, I would drop it - there are better ways where to put the money at the moment. This is just imo, maybe I am wrong and actually the ongoing CBD craze will push the possible resale price even higher then I guesstimated.

    GL :)

@lolwarrior Thank you for sharing your expertise, so many TLD's makes the game quite a bit different if you have been on the bench for a while! I recently read your advice post about the ngtld's and I wish I would have done that before getting reg crazy, (domain fever). Live and Learn!

Thanks for your time and effort!
Just one more request..since STR 1% is a new term for me, can you simplify it?

    Thanks again

    You are very welcome!

Yes, I use "STR 1%" as shortcut for "Sell Through Rate with probability 1 % for any given year for given price range " - as I always try to estimate price range, in which the name will imo sell with 1% probability during a given year of holding. This gives me some (very rough) way in which I can then compare projected yearly profit (estimated price range multiplied by factor 0,01) to yearly renewal cost of a given name, and thus guesstimate whether it makes sense from math point of view to invest in such name. This is the approach which helps to keep new gTLD portolios in good shape and profitable, particularly when we think of portfolios of several hundreds/thousands of such names :)

@Ankit Puri as for your name usnews / online : in general, I am not big fan of word1word2 new gTLDs, from various reasons detailed in this thread, but there are some exceptions, and this is one of them. The name is very good, and I feel it can sell in 7k-20k range in 2019, while I would feel STR around 0,1% per any given year, given the pool of end users paying in this price range and wanting this name would be limited.

The name has only standard renewal for .online attached to it, which is around $25 at many registrars.

This is name which I would personally hold in my porftolio, but I think it will require lot of patience to sell.

If above guesstimates are right, math looks like following: your projected yearly profit is around $7-$20, while your fixed yearly costs are around $25.

So on first glance, nothing special really, but you can reduce your yearly costs by transferring the domain to registrars which are offering yearly renewal for .online as low as $7 at the moment of writing. Do your research, for example by reading this thread from the start. If you do so, suddenly math will be reversed and the odds of this name as an domain investment will be more favourable for you.

I also think if you do some outbound to relevant end users, you can dramatically improve the STR.

Some negative: when we speak about word1word2 new gTLDs, we should be aware there is almost always large number of permutations possible, and they are competing with our names. In case of usnews / online, quick check showed that:

us / news and usa / news (your main competitors) are registry reserved, and I guess they will not be cheap to get.

usnews / live and usanews / live are both reserved (I personally consider .live as a close competitor to .online for many keywords, and this is one of them).

usonline / news and usaonline /news - second one is registered, but first one is available for standard fee for .news at the time of writing, which is around $16 at many registrars. This is obviously not good news for your name, as if end users would wish not to pay the estimated price range stated above, they can pay $16 for usonline / news (maybe not as good as your name, but also we need to note that $16 is much less then $7500 - $20 000)

Considering all factors above, I still feel it is a great name!
    GL :)

@leadnetwork as per your name multi / global - this one is pretty easy to evaluate, as we have already lot of data reported for .global sales.

So I feel it is 4k - 8k name with STR 1% for any given year for that price range (can be maybe more, 20k or even more, but with STR dramatically reduced in this case I would say).

With standard renewal for .global which is around $50 at many registrar, this is name, which will not make you rich imo, but also in average you should not loose money on it (projected yearly profit is $50-$80, while your fixed renewal cost is about $50).

The name is pretty vague, which can be also an advantage, as there is large pool of potential end users.

.Global registry sells such names as hotcakes atm, while they have also very good and professional sales team (as I know from my personal experience). So your success will also depend on your ability to sell, imo.

    Nice name, GL :)

@amartech personally I like your name vr/ai a lot, it is great, short, and highly valuable domain name.
But .ai is not new gTLD name, it is ccTLD, so I can not appraise it in this thread. Still, very nice name, GL :)

@Shamrock about your name carrentals / cheap - I am honestly not sure. It is word1word2 but makes good semantic sense, and has very large monthly search volume in Google keyword planner, while of course it is in reversed order. Many factors to consider, imo.

Therefore I have opened separate thread for this topic, and looking for contributions from another members of the community, as I feel the name can be pretty valuable, but I still would like to get opinions of others before I form some final opinion :)

@sohel momin your domain name edu / center is very nice, very universal. Probably 5k name plus in 2019 (I am not really sure about how high it can go in future, not enough comparables yet, but I would ask 5k for it as minimum).

Definitely keeper, particularly when it seems it has only smaller premium renewal attached to it, around $25 at many registrars.

As a side note, I just recently sold new gTLD name in another extension with keyword "edu" as well, for $ XXXX (I can not be more specific here, unfortunatelly), and I sold it only few days after I purchased it...and my name was even little worse then yours, imo.

    Great name, GL :)

@immmi your names spanish(.)app and ceo(.)app are good names and they feel like 5k - 10k names to me.

Now ceo / app seems to have yearly renewal of around $ 120, while spanish / app is around $ 220 / year at many registrars.

If we would consider STR 1% for names like this, it would mean you would need to sell those for $ 12 000, and $22 000 to get even in this investment.

If you are outbound specialist or have lot of connections in development industry, you can shift STR in your favour, for example to 2% or even 3%... still, from math point of view, it would remain an pretty difficult effort to be profitable with such renewals, imo.

But if you like your names, it is ok to have few names like this in your portfolio. If course, if you would have 1000s of such names, then you would probably need to consider math aspect of it a bit more.

    Great names, GL :)
