I just got one of these emails yesterday and took it as a serious message:
Hello,
We are writing to see if your website.com website is available for sale?
Thanks in advance for your time.

So I emailed and called and left a message for him, but did not hear back.

Today I just got another email about a different site. Tried to call and just got voicemail again. I suspect they are just sending these out to market their company.

So, before I report this new message as SPAM, I thought I would post and see if any one else got some messages like this?

UPDATE: I just got a call from Evan and they do seem to be making offers and buying sites that are earning > $200 a month. So at this time I feel they are looking for sites and not just marketing their company. I will post again if I have more information on this company.

Thanks for asking. They offered to buy one of my directories for 12-18 months of income. That would have been a nice amount, but since the site has been making money since 2004 and should keep on forever, I told them that I could not consider an offer lower than 36-48 months. So there was no deal made.

But then he wrote that I might want to try being a publisher for their ad feeds and I would get 85% of the revenue, so I think I am going to try that on some of my sites and see how it goes.

The bottom line is that this seems like a real offer and if you get the email and are interested you should talk with them.
