.mobi Want Some More Drama...Let Me Add...

Hello everyone,

I have a bite of news that I was originally going to keep private, but I think this should be made available for all to disseminate.

3 colleagues and myself we're involved in the Dec.5th disaster last year.
I can say publically we all settled our difference with MTLD and have since moved on.


This weekend I was browsing thru the sedo premium auction and bid on a name that I was interested in. To my surprise I was locked out.

I called Sedo Monday morning and asked what the problem was. They immediately forwarded my to their legal council and said,

" PER MTLD's REQUEST, YOU HAVE BEEN BLOCKED FROM BIDDING IN THE UPCOMING AUCTION. AFTER THE AUCTION IS OVER YOUR Account WILL BE REINSTATED" (I have their premium certification.)

IS THIS CRAZY OR WHAT!!!!!!
FROM MY UNDERSTANDING I'M THE ONLY ONE OUT OF MY GROUP TO BE BANNED.
THE REGISTRY HAS ACTUALLY LOCKED ME OUT OF THE AUCTON!!

I have really re-thought this investment, and the organization I have been supporting financially and publically for the last 3 years.

mTLD are proving themselves to be grade A morons. The problems that happened with that auction had zero to do with individual bidders. I'm disappointed overall at the job mTLD has done with .mobi.

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you Paul.

Not many .mobi buyers out there who've spent more or promoted the extension more than you have.. Whatever happened in the past, it's sad to see Mtld not put aside differences.

They're the big loser here, not you.

Very sorry to see this, PC. The past is the past. Disagreements happen in business. Ancient history now. You're a key investor. And, very valuable to .mobi in the wider scheme of things.


Just bad for business, imo.
