Very curious how high this might still go .

    Still 1.5 days to go.

I placed a bid early but it went past my budget real soon.

The $28,888 bid suggests it would be a player

vitae means A short account of a person's life. Its a 5L.com its only 2 days old because it was dropped from 2005. Its a nice neat dictionary word.

    I see it. :)

    Thanks @twiki

    Now it makes more sense.

Although Latin is dead, a lot is derived from it.

    That's actually a great idea.

I'll look into it tomorrow and reach out to all parties involved.

Why do this? Why does anyone do this on any domain auction anywhere. I see it all the time at GD expired.. 9 days remaining and already has 50+ bids.

Mind boggling. Have never and will never understand this.

I can't say about others but I personally bid on auctions first thing they open since my first bid is also my last bid.
I know beforehand how much money I want to spend on a particular domain, I proxy bid and then don't bother until the end of the auction.
I really have way too many things to occupy myself with other than sniping.

    I hope that helps

This strategy definitely eliminates any buyers remorse!

    Timezone is another factor.

Drops happen at 4am - 6am in Australia so as much as I enjoy domains I'm not dealing with that every morning! I just put my best and final bids in the afternoon before.

When a new bidder keeps seeing their top bid beaten by proxy it can actually be a deterrent.

Not to hijack the thread, but I bid on 'grinds.com' on snapnames about a month ago. It went for exactly $33,000 if I remember right.

The buyer has 'grinds.com' up for sale for 325k at this moment.

As always-- it's how much you can spend and how long you can wait to recoup your investment, I guess.

Well, the name is excellent. It could even be used for some new job portal . Sure, the marketplace may be packed, but new ideas and possibilities arise all the time.

U.S. and A. you guys say "resume". Here in windy Ole Blighty we say "C.V." which is curriculum vitae in Latin. Imagine how many times that word is used every minute globally @DomainGaze.com could be right

I’ve seen “C.V” used for “resumes” before.
It’s just not nearly as common as “resume”
Interesting, diff place prioritize what to call it!:)

To give an idea of the frequency usage here
“i see “CC” (email) more than “CV” (resume”)

Lol. I think it's the other way round. The English and the rest of the world, in most cases, use words that are different from words from the American English.

    Anyway, I like the differences

    i like the differences too.
It vaguely reminds of “gray” grey”
“corner” “cornour” “color” colour” & a*s, arse ha

Metric vs imperial system haha. culture :)

The strangest is driving left side of the road.(!)
Why you Brits are on my “DO NOT DRIVE” list, if i ever visit there and rent a car to drive uk lol.

@Samer. Have I got this right? Here in Good Ole Blighty we drive on left with driver on right. Over there in The New World you drive on right with driver on left. Perfect would either be drive on the left with driver on left or drive on right with driver on right. Easier for driver to get out on the pavement (sidewalk) side for a kebap or donut stop.
