Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Good article yesterday on Yahoo for a keyword I'm in control of in .com

====
"VR gaming and VR video make up the largest consumer use cases for VR technology, with $20.8 billion expected to be spent in 2023 on these areas alone."

Also previous years, Christmas Day/Boxing Day VR domains seem to get slightly more traffic than usual, might be worth sticking a BIN on your VR domains landing pages, i don't know if it will work, but might worth a try (if you haven't already).

I was looking back, didn't know VRchess sold for $5000. And, someone let VRhouses dot com go for $255. Last four days before Christmas, a nice VR sale/day.

Not bad. That said, I'm holding out for more money on my names. Sold VRwines $2000 this year. Demand and value is rising for all .com domains. Another Christmas and another jump in virtual reality users. I see at least one or two ads a day with a person using VR.

If it did have the dash you would be money!

Thank you for your reply.

I can clearly see your point and the market would appear to confirm this notion. However, when all the good non-hyphenated names are gone or are too expensive people may look towards the hyphenated version and as long as I get back more than the $6 I paid for the hand reg it's all profit I guess. I personally think that when you have a name that is many letters it doesn't always work with a hyphen but when it is something that is so short and it is what most people say rather than virtual reality, it can have an impact - VR followed by the shortest name possible can be very desirable to some. Not everyone granted but it only takes one lol.

This time next year Rodney I may actually be driving an actual car...Mange Tout.

I agree but it's always all about keyword quality.. i think u should always agree to sell avg keywords for lower ... or they may never sell again... but the better vr names of course we should not under sell now... vr will eventually come around.. as will many other techs...obviously now things got slowed down more..

Whoever can wait, should wait till Apple comes out with their headset. Sometime in the next 24 months it's happening!

This is such an interesting category.

@alcy In your opinion what are the top keywords for this technology?

it was mentioned many times here..but
it's long thread to read hehehe

things like... games...glasses.. hotel... hospital..bank...movies...video... vacation... trip ... travel... and probably and couple dozens more ..

then u have nice brandables like starve that sold for 7k I think....

and then avg stuff like vrstatus... I sold for few 100s... and couple dozens more avg keyword handregs salami made since 2015... some for more than others

I'm also big fan of long tails.. and have like 50 above avg ones.. bank..student..etc.. in fact my biggest sale in vr was long tail...virtualrealiitystocks... around 7k

I would say I do not hold very good nonlongtail vr .. and my best may be along lines of vrship or vrairlines... but.. I had some nice suprise prices on avg keywords too since 2015... like vrlatex for 2k etc... so I count on few more in future...

there I think that sums up a lot of this thread hehehe
