Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Thanks for everyone's input & advice on my most recently posted domain sale/ auction I had thru Godaddy- However I thought I would clear up a few things after learning a lot from the 1experience...

Firstly, bids thru GD Auctions are not binding after a counter offer has been made!!! It only allows for another "counter offer" to be made (which I guess could be, as low/ or lower than the original bid) but I think this tactic makes the seller seem slightly unprofessional or desperate? for eg, getting no reply to your counter offer, worrying you'd lost the sale ,and as a result messaging the bidder back saying- I actually accept your 1st offer!!!! (Which BTW, doesn't always work- I guess some bids are made just "of the moment"?

So for those of you who (like me, read the posts and believed that a GD Auction bid to be valid and binding for 1 week from placement- even after a counter offer has been made, is actually NOT Correct!..

So, due to the (I'm sure unintentional) false information posted regarding binding bids- I ended up losing out on 2 fairly significant sales now- hence my post on here. 1 countered bid was even significant enough to affect my monthly financial outcome, in a fairly dramatic way- especially when it was just a petty $100+ I was countering !!!

So heads up- if you receive an adequate offer on GD Auctions, and are considering countering it- Remember, you cannot go back, or accept the original offer any longer :(.... and there is also no guarantee that you will get the sale if you even counter offer at a lower $$ than their original bid.. As I disappointingly found out..

So Just a heads up. If a GD Auction bid looks good- just accept the bid, instead of countering it and potentially losing out on the whole sale altogether.

I hope this information helps someone.

Cheers!
Sorry for your experience and thank you for this information.

yes its really old news on np that gd offers remain binding even if there are counteroffers... it is what distinguishes gd from say sedo etc..

there are entire threads on np devoted to this.. where np members and actual gd rep(s) debate the pros and cons of this.. like I said.. its just how gd is setup... for better or worse, we have to live with it.. sometimes it will benefit the buyer.. when seller wants to say raise his price after making a previously lower offer... but I guess in most cases it is just an added advantage or bonus for sellers.. cheers.

Drop, you can still buy good names in the domains market, seize the opportunity, in a few years, maybe months will not have that option.

Imho.
Luck.
