Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

‘TheatreVR’ Wants You to Play the Role of Hamlet on a Virtual Stage with Real Actors

Acting takes time, courage and a lifelong dedication that very few possess, and even less can do well. But as VR styles itself as an ‘experience machine’, it was inevitable that a program like Theatre VR would come along, a multi-player acting app that’s been seemingly ripped from the pages of Neal Stephenson’s novel The Diamond Age (1995).

The creators behind Theatre VR say the program will allow you to experience what it is like to be an actor. Giving you the choice of which play and role to engage in, you’re fed your lines and given the opportunity to interact with either AI-driven or real players.

Thank You @Constantin S, thought to say hello to everybody in here, we had this thread as one of the most buzzing ones until last year, guess Crypto ruined everything (except for the Crypto domain investors),

As Crypto falls, the money once again gets pumped back into start-ups with investors returning to niche investing, namely into drone, VR, other realities, and other emerging technologies.
It is mostly a dry spell nowadays except an odd good sale every once in a while. Hope it changes for the better for everyone.
Time to HODL I guess.

Congrats to everyone who sold during the past year or so. Keep up the good work. :xf.smile:(y)

The move to Crypto allowed some of us to pick up good VR names that got thrown away. VR has been steady like a freight train. Every day a new use or product springs up.

Good to see you back my friend!

The way I see it this is the typical "wave" pattern of tech niche investing... VR is just riding the wave... as I am just riding the VR wave... cha ching! Technology is improving.... the big tech giants are still heavily invested in it.... VR investment will continue to pay off for domainers with good domain names..... and I know you have some good ones.;) and even ok names are selling which tells us this niche is healthy.

I will be gone soon my friend, and you are 100% right, it is a wave. Tech is getting improved and work is in progress. :)

Best wishes. :)

Xbox steps back on console VR plans

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-44562089

Not that i care too much what Microsoft do with virtual tech anymore, big company like that and with the following they have in my opinion they've done little pushing virtual reality to the next level, all they've done is made up bullshit terms (holograms/MR/XR) to confuse everyone.

VReS is planning to develop a general platform for the VR games market. Via VReSports, users will be able to interact, spectate and support their favorite player, building a more exciting VR gaming ecosystem.

VReS offers the world’s biggest VR platform, which is already in use by 15 million VR gamers in over 3000 stores, mainly in Asia, and have already put some of our games in circulation in these facilities.

nice offer on nice longtail.. on gd evrything is binding for 7 days.. no matter how many times people counter there.. so you have nothing to loose. I'd counter $1500.

gl

Thanks for everyone's input & advice on my most recently posted domain sale/ auction I had thru Godaddy- However I thought I would clear up a few things after learning a lot from the 1experience...

Firstly, bids thru GD Auctions are not binding after a counter offer has been made!!! It only allows for another "counter offer" to be made (which I guess could be, as low/ or lower than the original bid) but I think this tactic makes the seller seem slightly unprofessional or desperate? for eg, getting no reply to your counter offer, worrying you'd lost the sale ,and as a result messaging the bidder back saying- I actually accept your 1st offer!!!! (Which BTW, doesn't always work- I guess some bids are made just "of the moment"?

So for those of you who (like me, read the posts and believed that a GD Auction bid to be valid and binding for 1 week from placement- even after a counter offer has been made, is actually NOT Correct!..

So, due to the (I'm sure unintentional) false information posted regarding binding bids- I ended up losing out on 2 fairly significant sales now- hence my post on here. 1 countered bid was even significant enough to affect my monthly financial outcome, in a fairly dramatic way- especially when it was just a petty $100+ I was countering !!!

So heads up- if you receive an adequate offer on GD Auctions, and are considering countering it- Remember, you cannot go back, or accept the original offer any longer :(.... and there is also no guarantee that you will get the sale if you even counter offer at a lower $$ than their original bid.. As I disappointingly found out..

So Just a heads up. If a GD Auction bid looks good- just accept the bid, instead of countering it and potentially losing out on the whole sale altogether.

I hope this information helps someone.

Cheers!
