Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Nice name, I guess PayPal if so fast.

I guess he paid with pp.. but CC would be equally fast I guess.

they are also a registrar, so the domain is locked for 60 days after it transfers there. a bit like for gd auctions sales.

I only paid 10% sale fee cause I am setup to self broker (its 15% to use brokerage).. however, I am still unable to figure out if payout is mass payment to paypal.. or if I'll be charged the payment reception fee to paypal .. 4-5% usually. I tried asking support but thye had to email billing and get back to me.

i'll try to get this into dnjournal and or namebio.. its a nice sale.

There is not doubt that VirtualReality+kw domains are getting more and more in demand. The keyword after the VirtualReality has to be relevant though. But i'm noticing more and more VirtualReality+kw domains are being sought after. Yours was a case in point and I also have them in my portfolio. I have rejected several offers in the low to mid xxxx range over the last few months. I believe by waiting a little while that these can fetch xxxxx and beyond figures.

The same is also the case with AugmentedReality+kw

+bank was a good guess! hopefully it can fetch around smae price for me one day.. or even more.. its a nice relevant short keyword.. for many VR applications.

good domains always sell... but... in solid niche like VR with good looking future (and past sales already there too, mind you)... I am of the belief that even less solid/avergae keywords have a chance (I already sold a few.. and many more sold on namebio etc)... but that's just my personal view on things.. everyone can see things as they want... the way I see it is simply that great keywords sell for more money.. and less great keywords sell for.. well.. less money but I do my best to renew some average keywords too.. finances permitting of course.. and sales like this one help me achieve that... to me VR still remains a future profit niche.. not something I am looking to benefit from today or tomorrow...

all in all its hard to say what a buyer may want. I still have many logntail VR domains left for sale too. the only thing you and me can do is setup landers and wait for buyers
