Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Trademark.

Only if he markets it as VR UEFA

As long as he doesn't put any soccer/ football related content on the site then there should be no trademark issue.... in my opinion

The promo video for the standalone headsets. So many possibilities. Might be some hand-regging / cheap-buy opportunities if you can figure out novel ways to take advantage of the fact that there are no wires or phones involved..

If these are new get a grace delete, or simply manually delete them, IMO.

Stay away from TM names moving forward.

Ok..thank you..but what about names of a towns?

Names of towns/cities are fine, providing they are well-known, popular destinations, IMO.

Paris, New York, London, Shanghai, etc; just to name a few, are all great.

Does this mean that vruefa.com will be golden domain?

The term "UEFA" is a trademark, so its really not worth much.

APPVR dot com
Finished about 600 $, congrats to the buyer, very good investment

What????? seriously? I coulda got that. arrgghh! was it yours? what platform did it sell on?

The term "UEFA" is a trademark, so its really not worth much.

CopaVR in king
VRCopa in king

UEFA looked at that a while back. it's too "Exact". left it alone. It was tempting though as it is abbreviation.

COPA is brandable not as an abbreviation but as is.

CopaVR in king the Cornecopia of Virtual Reality. lol

Pornhub Gets Half A Million VR Views A Day

We’ve all heard it said; porn will help the VR industry succeed, much like it did VHS and the internet itself. It’s a point people have made ad nauseum at this point, but now leading site Pornhub has revealed some stats to back it up.

The site’s new infographics confirm that it gets around a massive 500,000 daily views of its 360 videos, which you can watch with mobile VR headsets like Google Cardboard. Not surprisingly (though somewhat disturbingly), those views surpassed 900,000 on Christmas day.

Google Daydream’s Star Wars VR experience touts PC-level graphics on mobile
seurat-star-wars-vr.jpg

The benefit of a tethered, desktop-powered virtual reality setup is that you can get significantly more visual fidelity from a PC with a GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card plugged into a power outlet as opposed to the tiny, battery-powered GPU in a phone. But Google is claiming that could change.

Google has developed a technology called Seurat that makes it easier to render lifelike, highly detailed 3D environments on a mobile VR headset. While companies like Nvidia and Qualcomm have beefed up the graphics capabilities of smartphones in recent years, those tiny chips still lag behind massive PC cards. But instead of trying to brute force pixels onto its Daydream headsets with more power, Google is using software to enable developers to render beautiful scenes in real time. And Hollywood effects house Industrial Light and Magic’s experimental division, ILMxLabs, has already used Seurat to bring some of the assets it built for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to life in a VR experience.
