Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

NameSilo
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

85K to be precise, yes think I'm a bit nuts indeed and may regret it forever, but the domain king Rick would maybe say otherwise? I don't know, we'll see in a couple of years... or sooner hopefully.

EDIT: Even VRVR.com sold for $40K to an investor...

I remember that domain for sale on Flippa around 8 months ago, received bids up to $17,000 (if my memory serves me well) and had a BIN at around $32k.

Question if you don't mind answering - In just a few months, someone as offered you over $50,000 more than your previous asking price and you've turned it down, what has changed in the last few months to warrant this decision?

Thanks.

Good question, my decision has changed based on the growth and certainty of the VR market, and that many startups are using that name now and the inquiries kept coming with higher offers so I know even if I do not sell to an end user I can still sell to investors (vrvr.com $40K sale just increased the value of our VR names even more too, which supposedly sold to an investor).

Another example in China one of the biggest companies in VR are using that name for a vr player with millions of installs (I was not aware of that company). Secondly I've done more research now and regularly follow the news, much more than back then. Also saw some real estate companies using the name such as /go/go/vr/.com

At that time I was still uncertain about the VR market (which now has changed in my opinion completely), but now look at how many huge companies are investing and actually made the products, many VR HeadSets etc., and I am very happy about PSVR's success which was a key factor too. There are many many more reasons, such as the search volume for "VR" which has increased dramatically since then, I can write a book about this revolution to come, so much have I learned in the last year, but these are some of the main reasons on the top of my head.

Thanks for asking, hope this brings some light on our future. We are all in this together, my success would be your success, because the value of all our VR domains will rise, that is why I told everyone about the offer, realized the potential in this is REAL!

You have seen the light brother, some we saw some time ago.

VR domaining will be mythical.

a lot can change in 1 year in VR... any day, many keywords can get an offer!
I'd personally not renew the last two.. but the first two definitely fall into that "with potential" category imo.

I own

LeakVR.com

all the best.

UntetheredVR

Intel: Untethered VR Is “The Next Level Of eSports”

The VR ecosystem is far from settling into a rhythm, with developers still experimenting to learn what does and does not work. Nevertheless, players and companies are keeping their eyes open for competitive experiences that could leave a lasting impact on the industry and possibly gain ground in eSports. Companies are also embracing VR and 360-degree video as a spectator platform, such as with SLIVER.tv’s efforts to create a universal spectator platform.
After this year’s
IEM (Intel Extreme Masters), which is an eSports collaboration between ESL and Intel, esports-pro.com caught up with Intel’s eSports Marketing Manager, George Woo. Intel championed VR in a big way at IEM and the publication reached out to him to discuss the current eSport climate, Intel’s position as a leader, and how untethered VR could be the next step for the industry.

getting some love on one of my fave longtails.. virtualrealitycircus...com
but I own many quality keywords in longtails.

so its no rush for me, as I expect some very nice keywords in longtails to be hitting 3-4 figures ... regularly in years to come.

let's hope I can close somehting nice 3 figures on it... will keep posted if I do.
cheers.
