Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

I stumbled on this pretty useful Chinese site that has a lot of VR Sites listed on it from both the Asian and American markets. It's pretty useful in seeing what's out there and being used....
VR808.com
------------------

For those invested in VR numerics. VRNN and NNVR domains as well as VRNNN and NNNVR. Here is a list of a number of Chinese companies/sites using them from my research. The Chinese are not sleeping! The giant is awake!

87870.com Pretty useful
zrzy.com
vrar-expo.com
08vr.com
87VR.com Startup Coming Sonn
100VR.com VR 3D Interactive Education
17AVR.com
17ivr.com
720Yun.com
52VR.com
VR.178.com
VR186.com
VR808.com
913VR.com
946VR.com
591VR.com
VR333.com
VR06.com
VR34.com
VR48.com This was bought on Sedo in private
VR68.com

Judging from that list my names are real longtails.

how do you justify a domain that never been registered ?

For me its research plus gut feeling

I think logic goes a long way. If you can see a good way of making money for an end user with that domain it's probably worth money. The trick is ofcourse imagening products and services that don't yet exist.

This is getting insane!

Just checked removed.COM AND removed.COM
just for the hell of it. Both taken. By who?

Chinese!

Wtf?

Chinese now regging not 5L vr domains but brandables?

I think domainers in the know see vr as the next "Chinese premium"
And we all know what happened with Chinese premiums yes?

As I mentioned before got an offer of $300 bucks from China for vrkor.com

Didn't take it. Still might good to know it's there
Countered with $1000.

Might counter again if no reply with $888 lol

8 is like catnip to the Chinese
They go nuts for it!

Was that racist of me?
Lol I'm part Chinese Filipino so it's ok

Sending a second counter weakens your position, and puts them in the proverbial driver seat with negotiations.

You gave a fair price, so leave it at that, IMO. If they're a serious buyer they'll come to you. Patience is key in this business, as you well know. GL

Ok well the reason was I posted a few times some domains here before in main discussion and many times people tell me I was foolish didn't check the who.is this was prior to me finding out about domain tools.

That the domains I got had drops
You know how people are on here. So quick to poop on your domain regs.

This is why I ask.

So what's you answer to all those people? I really am interested. So I could use it.

You know eventually you will run into someone in your vr domaining lifetime who will try to use the drop against you. So what's you response to them?

at this point you are 57843 times better off hunting down good drops than regging vr domains. but a time will come pretty soon imo, as VR grows and vr investors/domainers/speculators/endusers become more and more numerous, that there will be absoloutely nothing more worth regging or picking up on dropped domains (I am not talking about some new out of box keyword inventions and alternatives of which you can come up with 10 new ones each new day of course). I think its the natural course of things in the great domaining niches, for regs then drops to dry up over time.. same will happen to aftermarket VR buys, where there are deals still to be had today like we see happen often on this thread (VRcorp etc are most recent ones), but soon even floor prices for good VR domains will go up on aftermarket..

so nothing is really going in an unpredictable way here... its just that we are still at a very early stage of VR market penetration and evolution of the VR tech... this is just a newborn baby. so don't expect it to run and talk at this stage. 99% of everything VR is ahead. not behind. some people expect too much too fast. it's a bad sign if things happen too much too fast :)

cheers

Not entirely sold on vrx as yet however.

If it were "all" registered, then there would be no doubt.

Someone dropped keyword BEAUTIFUL in thee "other" reality . I grabbed it not checking domain tools.

But since someone posted that cosmetics and makeup apps for thee " other " reality were being dev by Microsoft I thought it was a good pick

Then I saw it had dropped.

I got "beautiful" in both front and back of a two piece combo.

In fact whoever owned it I guess listed on afternic for $11,500 as it's still there.

VRBEAUTIFUL AND BEAUTIFULVR BOTH TAKEN.

Comments? Thanks.

Oh I have no doubts whatsoever about vr's future
Just don't want savvy potential buyers thinking "oh this domain dropped and wasn't snatched up by anyone at auction? Meaning no one wanted it. In a room full of domain sharks? No one wanted it? And it expired ? And you decided to reg it? And you want to sell it to me for $11,500? Are you crazy? I'll give $100 for it and you should be happy. No one wanted this domain then and your lucky you got a nite now"

Ok there. What would you say if someone responded to you like that for a dropped vr domain you reg ?

This should be interesting.

Popcorn ready!

You have a portfolio full of gems, although it had some value would not be the top, which have large portfolios should we "trim" of names of little or no value.

8V8R

drop, imho

Nice, got VanityVR and VRVanity here.

My gf helped me on our way dropping her off at work lol

I asked her what's other similar keywords for cosmetics and makeup. She checked thesaurus.com and found this gem blush.

Seems like a brandable term that has relevance to makeup.

So ran with it.

Although I read somewhere Sephora has killed it with the cosmetic vr niche.

So it's pointless for other companies to even try. But we'll see

Don't worry, it's too early for any company to have already cornered any VR niche IMO. There're a lot of big cosmetics companies out there with BIG budgets who aren't about to get left behind.

This should accelerate VR adoption :) :)

Microsoft just democratized virtual reality with $299 headsets

VR just got a lot cheaper.

Microsoft on Wednesday morning said PC OEMs will soon be shipping VR headsets that enable virtual reality and mixed reality for just $299.
Details of the hardware and how it works were sparse, but Microsoft said HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, and Acer will be shipping the headsets timed with its upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update, due in spring 2017.

It also will force the competitors revise their prices down immediately.

I do not think manufacturing costs justify current prices.

This and PSVR mark the beginning of the vr era.

welcome vr, now if you really going to get.

Agreed. I think this could be a real game changer. Microsoft and top PC manufacturers bringing out affordable VR headsets for use with Windows 10, surely this will be a huge boost for VR promotion and adoption.

I don't belive having so many different headsets will help VR industry, the only way for VR to succeed is AAA content, especially games.
Don't get me wrong, cheaper headsets are great, but only if they're high quality and doesn't cause motion sickness, if this happen then the industry is better without them.
Before we celebrate we should first wait for what reviewers are saying.

I agree with that too. But if more people own VR headsets, that's more potential buyers of VR games etc, which should attract the big game studios as there's more money to be made, resulting in better quality VR games.

But yeah, I hope these aren't going to be low quality headsets that end up giving VR a game name. Surely these big companies wouldn't put their name on inferior hardware. Would they? :guilty:

No more games, no more quality experiences because there are not enough consumers, there are not enough consumers because hmd are very expensive and no quality games.

This may correct one of the problems start vr, which is not expensive does not necessarily mean it is bad, the PSVR is a hmd quality and is priced not much higher.
