Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

NameSilo
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

I stumbled on this pretty useful Chinese site that has a lot of VR Sites listed on it from both the Asian and American markets. It's pretty useful in seeing what's out there and being used....

Just "waiting" for chinese to finally accept XNXS as virtual reality in pinyin which these letters translate to. Seems like they rather go with vr:(

I keep adding new sights on my list unfortunately I haven't stumbled on any usage of xnxs. I'm surprised at the number of Chinese companies that use English keywords like VRGate.com and VRPapa.com et al

You justify it by hopefully capitalising on someone elses miss judgement.

Hehehe. Doing my karate kid vulture stance wings spread out.

But seriously.

Any worries selling vr domains that were dropped?

How does one "pitch" it to an experienced buyer maybe another domainer who will definitely use the fact that a drop is in your domains history?

Vr Gate was one of the first vr sales to end users by a member of this thread, the great FX.

If you knew the huge dominos that have been allowed to expire, you'd be surprised.

Most of those who took some time domaining vr have great dropped names.

So you guys must frequent expireddomains alot huh? But I swear the prices at drop auctions can skyrocket pretty quick its like literally buying aftermarket like an end-user!

I think if anything I'll need to pitch my xnxs to the west who want to tap into the VR market in China for their product

The Chinese know vr is the keyword to gain customers in the West. But if you are from the west targeting China " do as the Romans do" speak or use pinyin .

Best to sell xnxs on sedo to west .

Dont think its about aftermarket or regfees.
Its about finding domains with a high enough probability to be sold to an end user/flipped.

There were a lot of great regfees on 2015-2016 and there are always bad aftermarket purchases(opinion only lol)

Imo Stick to finding the gems and then let them stay a bit in your list, digest them a bit before regging, try to ask for opinions before if you trust some people and always have the enduser in mind.

At the beginning of time they expired and no one bidding for them, were freed very good names, and almost all we are about here are some of them.

I've never bought a domain secondary market or dropped auction .

Btw I mean no insult to anyone catching domains with drops under their belts as I am in the same boat.

Except mine aren't as prime as many here. Just wanted some ideas on how to respond to a seasoned buyer who knows as do most domainers that drops in history of a domain is like the "kiss of death"

Although the great Mike Mann seems to turn drops into gold. Would like some ideas on how dropped vr domains can escape the "kiss of death" stigma

Why do you feel dropped domains are like the kiss of death? 5 years ago I turned many $15 (ish) drops into $x,xxx range sales within a few weeks of them hitying my account in the unmentionable categorie before I gave up domaining for personal reasons.

I have never had someone question anything in relation to it being a dopped name.

This is getting insane!

Just checked CIAOVR.COM AND BELLAVR.COM
just for the hell of it. Both taken. By who?

Chinese!

Wtf?

Chinese now regging not 5L vr domains but brandables?

I think domainers in the know see vr as the next "Chinese premium"
And we all know what happened with Chinese premiums yes?

As I mentioned before got an offer of $300 bucks from China for vrkor.com

Didn't take it. Still might good to know it's there
Countered with $1000.

Might counter again if no reply with $888 lol

8 is like catnip to the Chinese
They go nuts for it!

Was that racist of me?
Lol I'm part Chinese Filipino so it's ok

Ok well the reason was I posted a few times some domains here before in main discussion and many times people tell me I was foolish didn't check the who.is this was prior to me finding out about domain tools.

That the domains I got had drops
You know how people are on here. So quick to poop on your domain regs.

This is why I ask.

So what's you answer to all those people? I really am interested. So I could use it.

You know eventually you will run into someone in your vr domaining lifetime who will try to use the drop against you. So what's you response to them?
