hey there, just had a thought the other day, maybe, it could be the case , that the big registars are staging these wildly expensive domain sales in a(successful) attempt to fuel theier business, everytime big domain sales go out, i bet they get a surge in business and it keeps their businesses going plus, most of them don't offer refunds at all so they cash in bigtime, they create this illusion that everyone can register domains and get rich easy but really it might all be staged and everyone may be being manipulated.........maybe

Nah - I'm sure there are plenty of fake sales out there just for the hype , But it isnt the Registrars that are doing it .... It's other Domain Sellers ;)

I wouldn't of thought it was easy to get past the checks on dnjournal?

I've thought about this loads of times and although a sneaky plan, probably not possible to fool credible sources?

Registrars have nothing to do with this so that conspriacy plan is out the window. NO SORRY but Chris Chena, and Elequa and Adam Dicker and RicK Scwartz are spending real money to buy real names so are a lot of other domainers. THis business because it is so subjective has a lot of people with average to below average names think that any big sale is a scam because they would not have paid that much. But it happens everyday and most big sales are under reported so there is no merit to your theory. IMO

Are you shure, that registrar do not "create the market".
I say YES, just look at the latest explosion of TLDs and ccTLDs or the former .info campains.
I agree, that they at 99% do not fake domain sales, but they definetly have a mayor role in the 2nd domain gold rush.

Buy YES, unfortunately there are quite some fake sales, as it it a great way to "wash" money :notme:

Disagree with you completely no registrar plays a part in the purchase of website.com or Property.com I don't thinkk ENOM is advising Chris Chena, I know for sure no One is telling ELEQUA what to do. THIS op was not about creating more tld's this post was about registrars being behind bogus high $$$sales.
