“.com is running out of names”
Sorry dear, I am running out of money
VS have a plenty of money to push the .ext , Internet ads (podcasts), FM, TV, billboards etc.
if the dot web will be launched a Web.com (aka netsol) will be getting a lot of traffic.. tons of traffic.
go.web on the banner but people will go to go.web.com instead of go.web
dot.web - just another useless extension like as dotsite. dotwebsite dotonline dotonl etc..
what is this I’m hearing ? Verisign is catching up .web aye
The proof is in the pudding, as I keep on saying “exact match keyword combinations” with the right extensions matching the keyword will prove to be valuable ^
Maybe PRO .com investors can step off the high horse and acknowledge this wonderful news ^
It’s simply a matter of educating the common consumer as was the case when informing consumers 20 years ago they can now advertise online
I would never use a .web and similar domains for my own business.
.com + ccTLD = win situation!
bring it on, .com (the king) needs competition and it will generate sales..
I don’t know what your business is, however owning the exact match keyword to your industry followed by the matching .extension is a valuable part in achieving total efficiency and the best results when ranking online
similar to my example(s) I co own,
Firstly the education system should use gTLD in books for students.
Everyone is learned to use .com or .net + .eu .us from schooling times. We need books for new kids that they learn from start about dot-something domains.
I whole heartedly agree that educating the average consumer is important ^
I do believe though it’s all a matter of adopting the said idea and will grow on from there ^ same for every new idea from riding a bike to driving a car to flying a plane ^
if .web goes live
web.com will get tons of typo traffic
and they, could start sub-domaining like crazy
I mean... why not just use .net
Youre going to be in the same boat as every other ngtld...
The word "web" sounds more resistant (stable) than the word "net" in my topinion.
Is there a lawsuit against VeriSign and the .web extension? 100 million dollar or something.
.io and .ai rising
Sorry but that's a boomer extension, who still calls the internet "web"? Back in high school, I remember I referred to it as the web, and kids laughed, this was many years ago.
People don't say world wide web or the web like they used to.
Just adding value to .online imo. Which would you rather own;
.web is old school, and .online is on fire!
Separate names with a comma.
