Today (2/25/2018) Vape.net sold for $30,000.

It seems to have previously sold on Sedo for $9,000 in 2016.

According to a Whois search, the owner let the domain expire at the beginning of the year.

dated 9 December 2017 I bought the onelinkpr.net domain for 12 usd. and within 1 month sold 222 usd this in my opinion is a very high price increase

First question is why you wasted $12 on onelinkpr.net ? why? what was yoru motivation? Your plan was to sell iit for $220 in one year? I don`t see how this business model can be profitable.

To many, a domain flipping model is sustainable. E.g. buy at $regfee - $50 and resell at $xxx. This is how I started 18 years ago. Made mistakes, learned a lot from others, and while I no longer flip domains, I consider it part of the learning process.

Nice catchy domain. Glad to see a .net selling for a good price :)

I don't think it sets any nprecedence for .net

I think it's just the fact that vape is such a massive industry. It's like casino, sex and anything in the top sector. Those domains will sell but I would not go on a buying spree of .net expecting similar results.

Not end user price, but not "reseller" either. If you know the people in the field you can flip for 1.5x-triple the profit. Huge industry.

.net is strong and quite liquid if you have shortish super keyword.

I was following the auction from the start.

Wonder what the .com would go for?

I sold vaping.co for a fraction of that and immediately knew it was undersold. Vaping is a HUGE industry and I'm sure the buyer will make a profit it they don't plan on developing.

You arent gonna be a millionaire by selling domains, unless you own porn.com

guys its still a f... .net. Maybe some end-user paying this price. But reseller no way.

.nets are not as liquid as you think, look at the difference between liquid 3 assets and .com, especially 3 letters, winner godaddy on this one. If an end user with an existing business it great, if a investor looking to slip, then they have their work cut out for them.

One of my first domain sales was a vaping name, was vapinghealth // com, only sold it for $99

Yep I know of a guy who became a millionaire pretty fast from a vaping business. They have the money to spend... nothing to do with a .net on the rise.

This proves that Canna domains are strong despite the crypto/bitcoin/coins related domains.

Congrats to the buyer & seller

It was developed and most likely had traffic. These types of portals, whether they are built on a .com or a ccTLD, can fetch a pretty penny at auctions due to traffic and existing links.
