I'd like to see more of this.

Press Release issued online...

Here's what I like...

1) Big corporation developing and communicating their MOBI assets.
2) NBC Universal does not own UniversalChannel.com.
- so this is a true MOBI play.
- No redirect. No defensive move.
3) Focus on Latin America.
- MOBI is a global extension.
- Birth of MOBI usage could occur anywhere in the world.
4) NBC Universal is in the content communication business.
- Outstanding application for MOBI.
- Could create consumer use.

Go go go! My Latin American friends!!!

this is good news BUT...

the mobile version of this site either isn't up or isn't working correctly (check it in the dotMobi emulator)

I would imagine that they are working on it. The whole point of .mobi is to have this stuff accessible on a mobile device...

But it definitely is good news that a media giant like NBC is using the extension. Now, NBC, when will I be able to see episodes of "Heroes" on my phone??? :)

It is very good for you yoyo! If you look closely in his post, Jeremy says they own the .mobi but not the .com. A pure mobi play all the way.

This is the why I had posted before that while keywordchannel.mobi is a good use, keywordTV.mobi will be better. It is shorter and serves the same purpose. Mobile television will be explosive.

I have never seen such a great non sequitur in my life. I like how you took this topic and turned it around to promoting your sale. :D

Don't fret it. I've done that before on this board.

Awesome news. Its stories like these that help explain to our loved ones we arent crazy to be domainers, especially domainers of a new extension. Nice Reporting Jeremy.

I've seen the site on a phone now, and it is still not .mobile compliant. A company as big as NBC should have the resources to prevent this from happening. I love the fact that they are using the .mobi extension, but they need to fix this asap.
