I am a professional forum editor, these posts in this service are brought in through nntp, or usenet. Its a very simple process that is quite labor intensive. If you want to see an example of this ive got one i sold in febuary http://www.hostingforum.ca which is a direct competitor in google for this site.... I am no longer affiliated but you can see the type of posting. Inherantly that site had some limitations and was generally a protoype. But i brought it to #2 in google in multiple hosting keywords. It gets massive traffic and does well for its new owner, hes a little limited in his moderation and monetization skills but he will learn.

I have new ways to effect this. In general if i create new areas in your site, say like a reference area or a reading area i can bring in thousands of posts that will help footprint your forum in google, while still leaving your site open to new posters that wont act in a harmful way to your standing.
