Anyone know of a host that lets you have unlimited domains and reasonable bandwith for a price under $8.50 a month? Thanks :)

Dreamhost allows you to host unlimited domains. You can get 120GB bandwidth for only $9.95 a month, and with coupon codes, you can even bring down the cost remarkably.

When you own unlimited domains give me a shout and a screenshot!

Many hosts offer it as the system usually is not abused ;). An odd day has come to some hosts where this advantage was highly overabused and totally destroyed the server performance.

Yeah, we have restrictions on our NAC servers for number of domains. But with our new SAVVIS one, we don't think it'll be a problem, most customers are reasonable anyway thus unlimited domains is plausible. Even if a customer has many domains, it's rare they all are developed, instead just a few mb for a parking page, etc.

We thankfully don't have to worry about this as our servers are top of the line as opposed to your typical bottom feeder server. Most of our members are professionals themselves too thus its may it extremely easy for us to track.

Should the servers be top of the line anyway ;)? The abuse I usually discuss in this issue is spammers (which sign up one account and add their "army" of domains to spam whatever they can before being removed from the servers...that is if they pass the fraud check :))

I don't actually understand the Unlimated domains thing. Does it means that you get free domain or that you can buy and use unlimited domains you already have bought?

IMO Unlimited domains thing in hosting is used to combine all of client's domains into one host but each domain has its own web space, pop emails, mySQL database, etc. rather than domain pointers pointing to subdomains or rely on url forwarding service .

In a shared hosting environment it means you can add as many domains to your account. All domains will be managed under one single control panel login. Basically instead of a reseller account (where each domain gets its own Control Panel), you host unlimited domains under just one control panel system. You can't really sell it because you would have to give in your login information.

Unlimited domains in a reseller, vps, dedicated environment is what it means. You can host unlimited amounts of domains (each getting their own control panel and would have their own login information).
