@alcy Wouldn't that be something? It would be super hard to find and when you did you couldn't understand cause it made no sense?

Sometimes I do use "un" before words instead of "not", e.g. not lucid = unlucid, and also in lieu of "in" e.g. inequality = unequality, despite their gramatically uncorrect appearance. Language is not static and always evolving, but some words and more creative interpretations of these are just too obscure or carry an air of unlegitimacy/illegitimacy for brand purposes. I also feel that illucid sounds a bit more in tune with current etymology, but that's a guess.

Having 'un' prefix is not bad. But they keyword 'lucid' itself doesn't sound that great. I think its drawback is its not appealing to the mass. But with that said, some still might like it and pay nicely. Very narrow potential client base.

I agree on the very narrow customer base. If I ever let it drop though we will see who picks it up.
It is funny how people see more value in something when they see it in the drop list.

I'm one live example; I've fallen for such names many a times.

This is what expired names do:

  1. Obscure dictionary keywords like these are hard to use in a meaningful way
  2. Unlucid is negative

The definition alone is pretty horrible, but I remember not to long ago I couldn't get $25 for four letter .coms.
I am also the proud owner of Androtomy.com (Human Disection) and Omniscious.com (all-knowing) both very obscure, but a word non the less. Who knows how long I'll have to hold them for or maybe forever. One is actually on a brandable site.
Thanks @Kate You are one of the most polite, honest and well read NP'ers here and I always take your advice seriously.
