Two really big sales on Sedo today: Qatar.com- $110,000 & PBR.com - $38,500

Nice to see some big dollars being paid for domains these days.

Edit: I just noticed someone already posted about the Qatar.com sale in the "Appraisals" forum. I searched in this forum first before I posted, and didn't see this posted already. I didn't think to search in "Appraisals", didn't think anyone here would be lucky enough to have owned these domains. I'm sorry if this is a repost.

Qatar for 110k$ is a joke IMHO. In a few years time you will see what i mean...

Qatar.com for $110,00 is an absolute steal, if the gov or the airline or Qatar related did not buy it then I reckon you wil see this one turned for 5 times todays price in the not too distant future. :gl:

For sure - an absolute bargain and I am very surprised this was not snapped up long ago for that price - they are also gearing up to make it more of a tourist destination. Qatar.com also has an overture result of 854 with ext.

The more I read and learn about that country, the more it seems that name was a real bargain, as wot said. Do you guys suppose it slipped under the radar of most big buyers, due to them not recognizing or being familiar with the country name?

It must of db - I just reg'd QatarHotels.info that I did'nt think to check previously
I'm sure elequa would know about Qatar but maybe not that the domain was for sale. (RivieraArabia.com is for sale though elequa !!! )

It just amazes me that a company who are spending this sort of money would not have jumped and paid far more for Qatar.com to point to their business - very weired

It appears that that's exactly what happend.

And PBR.com for $38,500 was indeed undersold. Last I checked interest in PBR was growing. Both domains could have been sold for at least double, in my opinion.

LNG is Liquified Natural Gas. The world will be using more of this as a source of energy as the technology improves to make it safer and cheaper to transport.
