I have a .tv name in auction at Afternic, it should be on the home page in the closing soon section, yet names below mine have suddenly jumped above it on the home page.
It seems Afternics policy is the same as Sedos and doesn't allow .TV auctions on the home page.
This is ridiculous imo, what is wrong with these people?.

It is to late for mine now as its closing soon, but there must be someway we can get both Sedo and Afternic to change this stupid policy.

AfternicAfternic
This is new as some months ago I have got some .tv names on the Afternic closing section and they were VISIBLE like any other extension. If they play now like SEDO this is just unfair :yell:

I have sent them an email i will let you know what they reply, i really can not understand how they think this policy is a good thing and why it benefits either them or us.

This is really not good!

It shouldn't matter to them and they have to treat all "customers" equal anyway in my opinion, if it's a .com name for sale, a .tv or even a .name, it just shouldn't make any difference.

I have sent an email to Afternic, too. Hope they make it right for you.

I've gone a few email rounds with Sedo about this, to no avail. It's not as if you're getting a break on the commissions, therefore all extensions should be treated equally and listed by closing time. It is the only right thing to do, IMO.

IMO it is the forces that be trying to hold down .tv for as much longer as they can, to try and keep the .com market at a strong value, funny the same day I posted in here that the big .com'ers were covering the fact that .tv is growing so quickly.. a bunch of posts show up on their blogs and webpages (which tells me they are monitoring .tv forums)LOL, it is only a matter of time b4 the big .tv rush as the .com pioneers start to give GOOD mentions of .tv extension, the new investors will see more opportunity in .tv as I did( living proof ), my first year domaining, and my .tv portfolio is huge.

Just random thoughts.....

I just found out about bido.com last night, I forgot about that in my last post.

That was part of the group I was referring too, if bido.com caters to .tv they will be a huge success as this is an untapped/masked market ( real .tv services).
And the fact of the headline names involved is only going to blow the roof of .tv with other domain investors, if this group tie their names to .tv (especially in the uneducated public eye)

Lets face it sedo has 4 or 5 .tv in auction RIGHT NOW, and fix.tv is at 9000 if it is a real bid, why wouldn't they want to glorify that fact don't they get 10% of the final sale come on you do the math wotka.com is headline at 85 euro :hehe:

seems ironic fix.tv is on the auction as this thread grows....

Should be FixedAgainst.tv that is the real deal in 2007.

To many people working on Fixing.tv right now (someone will accomplish )

2008 will be much different (in a very good way), so be very happy if you invested in 2007!

Just my 2 cents worth, but this is fodder for a great article should any major media want to pick up on it!

Many daily papers(and periodicals) are always looking for a controversial topic, whether it is in business or politics, and the fact of treating an extension like .tv as a veritable "black sheep" by Sedo et al makes, in my estimation, for a good read indeed.

After some history of the extension and practical applications involving media itself because of the name, they could do some investigative reporting and come up with whatever. The topic IS a good one and may be enjoyed by more than a few readers. What the heck, it may even get some readers to by a .tv name, who's to say.

Anyway, I just wanted to put a positive spin on this angle as we keep crying the blues about getting ignored by the "big boyz".

Personally, I don't care as time is on our side and the extension will come of age soon enough. I sold doubleplay.tv on Sedo and still like their professionalism, wouldn't necessarily leave them.

Thank you, guys and gals, and Merry Christmas!!! :xf.love:
