Hi,

For a domain created after the new price structure, is it possible to transfer a .tv premium from a .tv Premium registrar to a non-premium registrar like GoDaddy? And from a premium registrar to another premium registrar?

Thanks.

Oh seriously? I didn't know.. that sucks! Why this since renewal is not premium?

Yes, you can transfer the name to any registrar that deals with .tv, but only if it has a standard annual renewal.

Oh ok. But I have a .tv premium domain created with another registrar than enom and I can't transfer it to GoDaddy while status is ACTIVE (and nothing else) and epp code was provided. GoDaddy tell me that domain is not unlocked (while it is). I also had no trouble to transfer 10 non premium .tv from another registrar to GoDaddy so I don't understand..

You can NOT transfer anything that was registered off the premium list. Period.

What was regged at ENOM, stays in ENOM.

That's a bit crazy. It seems like you should be able to transfer as long as the annual renewal fee is standard.

I inquired about this myself to Enom.

I have a bunch of Premiums (off of the Premium list meaning these were more than reg fee) that I regged after Mar. 18th at Enom, and they said that all of mine were transferrable.

Now, I will be moving them very soon because the renewals are coming up and I will not pay their $50 renewal fee, while there are $24 and $23 renewal fees elsewhere.

Default User is 100% right. I did a thread on this awhile back. I have spoken to Enom,Name and Dynadot.

While the renewal is non premium it cannot be transferred, they all said because the original registrar would not benefit from the renewal fees.

They were adamant they would not allow this so where you have the name is where its going to stay unless you drop the name.

You can move to Enom.TV (reseller and renew at $30) which is weird I know. It's the same base registrar.. just a new account. Account changes are not restricted.

I can't move the name to enom.tv because it was not registered with enom but with another .tv premium registrar.

Anyway "The central registry does not allow Premium .TV Domain Names to be transferred to another domain registrar at this time."
What ! :0 I've never ear anything like this before about .tv premium domains. I thought that since they get normal renewal fee, transfer would be possible..
Lucky me, my registrar is not charging too much for .tv domains but it's not the cheapest .tv registrar..

This non-transfer rule sucks. >:(

"The central registry does not allow Premium .TV Domain Names to be transferred to another domain registrar at this time."

This is true and apologize for any confusion. I registered only one .TV since March and was unfamiliar with the transfer policy until today, so thank you.

I recall trying to transfer Weston.tv which had previously been a $500/year renewal to Godaddy. I picked it up during the March 18th/19th madness after it was discounted to ~$380. In either case, I wanted to move the domain to Godaddy before launching the site and was unable to do so.

I have question related to this topic,
Is there any "after registration" transfer lock for not premium .tv domains? And if it is, how many days I must wait?

I recently tried to transfer a three-letter .tv domain away from Enom, was told it was "premium", and would been unable to be transferred out. The domain was registered on March 23, 2010 (after being removed from the recurring premium renewal list). No reference was made to special terms of service during the purchase process. After lack of resolution from Enom tech support, I have now filed Better Business Bureau and ICANN complaints.
