Be well people. Breathe clean air, get some Vitamin D and enjoy life.

    Life is very very short.

Most of you attack others who disagree with you and you are unusually rude and refuse to look at material outside of your confirmation bias.

I surround myself with other doctors and teachers and I can assure you our levels of integrity allow us to engage in dialogues where we may disagree with each other, but we do so in a much more professional manner and ultimately we can have incredibly deep conversations, far deeper than any that will happen here.

I don't miss the majority of the people that surrounded me years ago, who by in large are selfish and unrefined. This was when I was a very active domainer and also made a good living playing poker professionally.

However, do not construe this statement as a judgment - merely an observation from my experiences.

There is no they or them - only us.

the problem is that I always look at the other sources presented
I actually wasted countless hours doing so
as I'm interested in the truth

but most of those videos/guys are so extremely bad
even an underprivileged should be able to recognize it.

    But you don't want to.

Though Iife is keeping me busy these days and I don't have much time to post, I try to stay up with what's going on here and I am glad to see the number of actual sane people in this thread.

I do see that the one supposed "healthcare professional" is still posting all his/her wacky stuff drawn from the fringes. But I have to say it is heart warming to see that when s/he does post something from an actual scientific or medical site, the supposed "healthcare professional" still continues to display their complete lack of understanding and comprehension of the provided material or it's context.

Again, being limited in my time, I randomly picked a link, the one below, from his/her post here and read the article - AND THEN I read the Letters section at the bottom. As usual, the article doesn't support the conclusion that our resident "healthcare professional" believes it does. I don't even have to try to explain it because the authors of the article did it for me! (But don't you worry, our resident supposed "healthcare professional" will try to find some way to twist it around to fit their contention...)

    The article s/he cite's - https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp2006372

And if you scroll to the bottom and read the Letters...

I also had a quick look at some of the other links in his/her post:
    • The AAPS Online site is so NOT a neutral source of medical information as it has a definite bias and agenda. (I swear I remember someone chastising others for refusing to look outside of one's "confirmation bias" bubble. Now who was that???...)
    • The CIDRAP information is from 2.5 months ago and much additional data/information has been garnered since it's publication. (I'm guessing that the writing of it actually started several weeks earlier so it's really even further out of date in terms of relevant data/information.)
    • The BMJ Open article was originally published in 2015. The authors posted a Covid-19 update/response so be sure to look for that link and read all of what the authors have to say. (And for you conspiracy theorists, the original study was paid for by 3M. They wouldn't have an agenda for the outcome of a study on masks would they??? Wink, wink, nod, nod....)
    • The ACP Journal article was RETRACTED! "The LOD is a statistical measure of the lowest quantity of the analyte that can be distinguished from the absence of that analyte. Therefore, values below the LOD are unreliable and our findings are uninterpretable."
So much fail, so little time... I'll just have to leave the other links to another day.

That's a good reason to wear a mask

Spamming "dangerous disinfo during a deadly pandemic were hundreds of thousands lost their lives" is outrageous, the attack is against this mentality and against this disinfo not personal. There are many many people thinking like you which lead to disasters so far, there shall be zero tolerance for such mentality that is becoming life threatening by itself because of the many people dying after being deceived that there is no danger.

Healthcare Professional + Poker Professional = Health Gambler?

Do not gamble with your life and the lives of others please.. if you want to gamble with your life then do that alone and do not deceive others to practice this gamble with you

    thanks

It is against my code of conduct to make people sicker.

Hence domain investing creates win-win-win scenarios.

No matter how you slice it - poker does not.

Rather than exploit alcoholics and poor poker players and use my time on that....

I help people heal from addictions and unhealthy lifestyles.

I teach people to be healers.

    Eat organic
    Drink spring water
    Exercise
Figure out what your ideal weight is and get there.
Figure out your life purpose before you are old and wrinkled.....

And turn off the mainstream media.

A few fundamentals for a balanced life. IMHO

I always wear mask when I go out.

It not only protects each other. But also reminding us of the precaution like not to touch unwanted items, avoid unnecessary roaming etc...

It is like the military uniform that itself gives more confident and courage.
So I prefer mask to remind / alarm myself and others to be careful about the pandemic.

Freedom is for ourself. But mask is for our society.

I always think how unknown doctors, cop, workers, volunteers work in this situation for us and how should we honor their sacrifice? Atleast we should obey Government instructions.

surprised I missed this thread. I will voted yes to wearing my mask in public.

I am diabetic. I take care of my 79 year old mother who lives alone and is not in a nursing home (thank God). I get her supplies. She hasn't left her apartment since this crap started. She wants to go to the Meadowland's Horse racetrack (She's a handicapper!) but I'm afraid for her. she's forgetful and touches "EVERYTHING" and will forget to wash hands so I just can't let her be out. She's ok though. got her a treadmill to do exercise. lucky she has a nice balcony in her 6th floor apt.

I really should not visit her but she has no one to bring her supplies so...yea sorry. I need to wear a mask outside. Can't risk it.

Covid-19 regardless of what they say is AIRBORNE. When people cough or talk (especially loud talkers yelling and screaming with no masks) that expells the same amount of saliva and aerosol particles the same as sneezing with no mask.

here's a video that really opened my eyes. ( I can't embedded the video only link to it sorry but still check it out for your own safety to understand how this virus spreads.)

    https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/ondemand/video/5001289/

When I enter my mother's apt. I take off shoes and leave outside in hallway.

Anything in boxes gets removes and put in plastic bins.

Anything sealed in plastic gets bleach sprayed and hot water washed in the tub.

fruits and veggies get hot water blanched.

Also remember one thing. When people talk, ( loud or otherwise) sneeze, and cough. The basic rules of gravity applies. What goes up MUST COME DOWN and when you see everyone walking around? talking, laughing? sneezing? coughing? unless you have antigravity boots and are floating and gliding 2 inches off the ground. Your shoes sneakers whatever is bringing home God knows what with your shoes.

and if you have a rug and you have you yourself and your pets laying on that? or touching it and then touching your face and food?

    well. Good luck.

I'm a recovering Germaphobe and this situation has turned me back into a germaphobe once again and it's a nightmare.

When it doubt? wear a mask!

Also......use a credit card or debit card.

Cash is dirty. either Wash your money in hot water and bleach or just use the card.

    Another note.

Anyone ever notice how when you go to pick up take out? if they have option to pay cash? The same person who packs your food and hands you the bag is the same person handling cash?

kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me. there should be two people. Once to handle cash and payments. and the another to prepare food, pack food and then hand the bag to you.

    @Compassion

    you say
    "turn off mainstream media"

    what is mainstream media

    is namepros mainstream media?
    is twitter mainstream media?
    is facebook mainstream media?

    you are quoting
The microbe is nothing. The terrain is everything.” Louis Pasteur

but did you notice that science has evolved a bit in the last
    125 years?

if you have a strong immune system
    for sure that helps
you may get a milder form of Covid

but that doesn't help the people
who don't have a strong immune system

and you will not be able to fight that virus
in creating a strong immune system in all people

as the virus will be faster
    much faster

    -quote
The microbe is nothing. The terrain is everything.” Louis Pasteur (1822-1895) is purported to have made this statement on his deathbed. The origin of the quote is attributed to Claude Bernard (1813-1878), a physiologist and contemporary of Pasteur. By quoting Bernard, Pasteur was recanting his germ theory, a theory that assigned the cause of disease to microbes invading and reeking havoc on the body, with specific germs causing specific diseases.

In contrast to Pasteur, Claude Bernard and Antoine Bechamp (1816-1908), another contemporary of Pasteur, believed disease was a condition of imbalance in the internal terrain of body. Bernard and Bechamp emphasized the context or environment in which germs lived and not the germs. On the one hand, if the terrain was balanced (homeostatic), then germs could not flourish. On the other hand, if the terrain were out of balance, then germs would thrive. In short, germs do not cause disease. Instead, they are a sign of the diseased conditions of the terrain and not the cause of those conditions

I was very happy I had an n95 mask on today when I attacked some nasty mold, this is an indication of what airborne particles may end in your lungs without

Great post Kenny as always (y)

I Always wear a mask when I leave my house,

It is really sad that some people do not or want to understand that to wear a mask to keep others safe.
You could be an ASymptomatic carrier of the virus and not know it, yet you can get others sick and possibly kill them.

I think to not wear a mask in public maybe your right to do so but it is a careless and selfish act and puts the lives of others in danger.
