Are you ok with this thread going into discussion and background of NFC / MOBILE?

And would you consider changing the thread title to something like "The Tap Discussion and Showcase" ? Threads like that usually feature news and discussion, not just lists.

I'm absolutely thrilled where this thread is going. Thanks to mrcurly for introducing wallets and mobile tech which is highly relevant to tap and NFC. In hindsight, I should have named it differently as this is not just about "tap". In fact I believe that keywords mobile, payment and wallet will probably have more value.

Can I suggest renaming this to:

"The NFC & Mobile Tech Discussion and Showcase (Tap / Wallet / Money)"

I'll wait a day for any other suggestions then make the change. Can I do this myself?

PayByCell.com sold for over $9,000 not long ago, i wonder how much this one of mine could be worth -

PayByCell would have restrictions, not all countries use the world "cellphone" , where "NFC" could be seen as more universal when NFC is mainstream.

Spent 15 minutes yesterday trying to pay for parking using my android tab and credit card as I had no cash. Tap to park would really have made the difference! Anyone know of this in use?

Actually it seems many keyword + tap domains were taken years ago using the word tap to mean "source". But I am guessing that if we are talking about payments and payment services that companies and consumers want names they trust, meaning .com or country code. So the best names could be worth a premium and the rest very little, except .me is used often for apps.

We also use paypass here Wendy, with a debt card. It's different to NFC type payments though. I would assume paypass is a trademarked name/brand by visa/mastercard.

NFC names are all well and good but I think some of you are going overboard with terrible name choices. You need to really think out your name before you go purchasing any old name to do with tapping to pay or NFC.

Selling domains isn't always the way, you could go as far as creating your own NFC or tap app with a brandable name instead, even just a way for someone to send another person a facebook request / a contact list of all their information for when you're meeting contacts. although iphones don't have NFC, we still have ways around it and a very open market in the future.

You should think before you just go out purchasing any old domain with one keyword hoping to get on a band wagon. With that being said, being an end user / developer I wouldn't touch half of these names with a 50 foot pole

TapCasinos should also grow in value. I imagine tapping a 'one-armed bandit' would be both more convenient for the user and profitable for the owners. Though extremely dangerous if you enjoy a night at the pokies.

Appreciate the advice on my names too and fear you may be correct. My reasoning was that they were not available in other popular TLDs and are strong keywords on the rise. Am hoping to monetize some of them, particularly the .infos.

I take it you're not a big fan of .mobi?
