OKay, some anon mod told me that it is basically (after really calling me a liar) okay for someone to post in the news section and have a link back to that someone's website/blog where there is affililate links, etal.

Thus, I want to know...
If I write a small article on my blog about domains, domainers, etc?
Can I post it in the news section with a link to my blog where there are affiliate links, etal?

If you can understand this anon mod:
Unfortunately, your recent report has been rejected: Post in thread 'NRD - Domain Story - Daniel Mac Sweeney' - Editor approved / 11. Domain News (») 11.1. When posting a third-party's article in this area, you should use a title relevant to the article's original title and assign an appropriate prefix to it. You may include portions of the story as a quote or create a summary of its topic. An embedded "Source" link to the article at the bottom is required. The linked article must contain original writing, e.g., spun content is not allowed. 11.2. Original content should lackadaisically follow the NamePros Blog Publishers guidelines, but the requirements are less strict, e.g., a news post could be only a few sentences in length. 11.3. It must be newsworthy, relevant, valuable, or interesting to the majority of members.

I followed that link too and thought there was a serious lack of substance as well as a miss-match between the title and the article content. In other words a waste of time and not what I have come to expect in the news section.

Ok, but I really have to question the posters judgement. NP is a really small world in many ways and I have to wonder about the business judgement of using a miss-leading title to get visitors to follow a link to a weak article.

Several expressions come to mind ... in your own bathwater being one.
