We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

It's about time someone sues Namejet and changes their policy. Getting tired of cancelled auctions because seller refusing to push the domain.

According to Elliot's Blog, 47 LLL .com domains are going up for "no reserve" sale at Namejet.

Private seller uses privacy.

What do you think?

That "no reserve" business is hinky.

I'm with tonecas on avoiding private sellers using Namejet.

Looks like a reserve is set at around 5000usd bidded on two 4700 and namjet show higher bid as reserve not met

here is the auction cancelled for NAQ.COM.

however it has a new owner, and it is not the winning bidder. The domain was on-hold and the odds that the original owner come to renew it (and netsol accepted that) are so thin that the only explanation is a major fu**up.

I did not refresh my historical whois for this domain so can someone check if between 22/02 an 08/03 the domain show up with a owner different than the current (a company named StatPro for what it seems)?

regards,
tonecas

yet again, another WTF from NameJet and team.

RGH.COM was expired after the owner had bankrupt 10 years back. the managing company was a trustee in charge of selling the assets. however, the managing contact let the domain expire or so it seems.

the domain went into auction and it was won by the same person of NAQ.COM, this time for $10,000.

however, the domain is now showing with WHOIS privacy but, as it is usual with NetSol dumb service, the privacy leeks the name of the owner. low and behold, it is Andrew Rosener who came out second in the auction...

for complete fairness, the domain is on-hold which means something fishy is going on and still being processed.

regards,
tonecas

for all that i know they still belong to Abstract Holdings International LTD, the same entity that seems to have bought about 100 LLL.com from Marchex and listed them in 4.CN.

it is a common practice for domains from private sellers to use Enom privacy before auction to help hide their tracks and deter people from summing up 2 plus 2.

and low and behold: instead of entering a new auction, oni.com just came back to a new owner, not passing through the winning bidder ( AFAIK because nowadays you can easily get away with fake whois ).

man, so many scams going on. and more and more in your face. there are no consequences whatsoever.

KJP.com was expired and on-hold after outdated WHOIS information. The true owner didn't seem to care much for the domain but the fact is the domain was on-hold and did not belong to NetSol. however, they are now with their hands on it, and not even faking the renewal like they have done recently, and this time using another shell company as above:

Domain servers in listed order:

SK.S2.NS1.NS92.KOLMIC.COM
SK.S2.NS2.NS92.KOLMIC.COM

now, the even more interesting part:

[email protected]

it's the email that Register puts on their domains when they are expired and on their renew grace period.

it seems Web.com is already pushing the envelope after buying Register and NetworkSolutions.

how fishy can you get? :$:

tonecas

It was sold?

yes, to the winner or the first auction after he paid. but only after messing around and trying to funnel it to their shell company. please read previous posts.

so funny! as if they were a normal domainer making a fair competition to all of us by "deploys an automated system to snap up expired domain names, indifferent to the trademark rights of others"!

that is why there are shell companies and off-shores you know?...

why are they trying to dump it all at once? I am pretty sure if they had ran 1 LLL.com per day, it would've received more bids.

big business thinking - sell a 100, one a day, takes 100 days to get your money - do 5 a day over 20 days get your money 80 days earlier and invest in your company. The return on investment in those 80 days is greater than the return of increased sales value, if you dripped them out, especially if you already have an opportunity to invest now which is time critical - it all depends on what you are doing with the money afterwards and big business normal set it to work straight away. Investor just cashing out yes 1 a day please.
