id spent 4 days debugging a script . . i was on the verge of suicide

he comes off his holidays, takes one look at the code and fixes it! in under 5 minutes!!!!

hes a 15 year old boy who goes to the school i work at?!?!

i tell you they put something in the food. they must do!!! im in fits of laughter at the moment . . :hehe:

I wish I had that knowledge, I agree, there are some very talented kids outt there in the world. I just wish I was one of them :music:

i dont think its purley about knowledge, somtimes its just about having a clearer mind at the time. Adam, you were stressed right. I know the feeling. sitting there for days trying to figure out what is wrong. Then someone comes by and sees the problem right away. Hey, i agree though, the kid is smart. Just to be able to recognize the problem as quickly as he/she did, but dont under-estimate yourself. Im sure it was from the stress of not being able to see what was right in front of you the whole time.

Yep, this is the case for me too after hours of coding work. My mind just stops functioning

Hooray for modesty, It hasnt got an awful lot to do with intelligence, just spotting it and wish fresh eyes it sticks out like a sore thumb.

kids are smart, expecially when it comes to technology but thats cause they grew up with computers unlike old people that thought a Microwave was magic when it came out

kids have a knack of picking things up fast when they want to.

As has already been said he will have had a clearer mind than you at the time. Sometimes I have coded and made an error and spend ages trying to find it. When I go away and come back you ussually spot it fast enough. Ussually you start thinking the problem is more than it is so start looking for the wrong thing.
