The domain was expired but it is still taken!

Hello,

I have found a domain and as I can see it was expired.

I have checked it with many registrars and both of them says that it is already taken.

No whois record, No expiry date, no owner, no nothing.

The wayback machine says that nothing happened with the domain since more than a year.

I have sent an email to ICANN, they replied:
"ICANN has reviewed and closed your complaint because it is for a non-existent domain name."

The domain registrars says: TAKEN!

Now what can I do?

It was a LL .com. It did expire and is now reserved by icann. I looked up the history and it was registered until 2020 so very strange that it deleted. The owner has a ton of premiums too!

I'd be interested to know the cause of this if you find out. You don't need to give the domain name obviously, just what the problem was.
