The big "traffic" hype

ok i understand that traffic can obviously
make or brake a website. so what i ask is
HOW TO GET IT? besides word of mouth
and so on. is there a program? or way to
gain visitors to your site? please help me
out here. all input is appreciated!

Yes, there a lot of traffic generating tricks on the Internet, from scripts to creative ideas. Do a search, don't be lazy.

Wow! How to get traffic? <--That is such a broad question. I will just give you a simple answer, because there are tons of ways. Some of the more common ones are:

1. SEO your site, so you get listed higher in the search engines
2. Advertise on sites
3. Advertise on Google Adwords
4. Buy Traffic
5. Promotions

There are tons more, but you can probably find them yourself.

Everything else is a waste of time and/or money.
