I'm not surprised. Text messaging is a major market right now. I'm in high school, and there are several kids who send anywhere from 25 - 100 text messages a day (I go to a really small school with lots of rich kids). However, I do think the value of that domain is over-rated. Text messaging may be a fast-growing market for cell phone companies, and the latest fad for teens, but it's not something that I would say is a great way to make money off as a website... TextMessaging.Com - that's worth 35 grand, but TextMessage.Com at 35,000 is pushing it.

That's a really good question if I may add. But if it were a popular carrier, do you think they would have paid more for the domain maybe?
