I was at auctions.godaddy.com (ex tdnam) and I was bidding for adult domain with 11,000 UIPs.
I've refreshed and I saw 8 seconds till end, I've typed 155 as price, clicked "accept" + BID and next message I've ERROR: auction closed.

But notice I have Fiber 30/4 Mbit with extralow pings + fast simple Mozilla Firebird 1.7 and I have superior mouse skill ( Minesweeper expert in 59 seconds ) and I have Logitech Mx518 + Teflon extralarge 50$ or 60$ mousepad from Razer.

I'm sure I've fit in that timer. I don't care if Bob Parson got funny videos on his blog.
I want to be back in game for that domain as I would go much higher with price.

Just out of curiosity, why did you wait till the last seconds to input your bid? The auction readjusts if a bid is in place within the last few minutes, so it would have been irrelevant (in regards to sniping).

Ditto to Justin, there is really no need to be a last second bidder @ TDNAM ...

But if someone (my competition) is bidding for more domains ending at about same time, i have much higher chance that he won't make it in 2 minutes. But since I've lost chance to fight for domain, I'm doomed :D

OK, it was partially my fault but I'm just pissed little angry kid :D :D :D

Chances are, that domain didn't actually receive 11,000 visitors a month either.

well, i had problem with tdnam before, basically i backordered a domain and got an alert from tdnam that the domain had been pushed to auction and i had been outbid on the domain, when i went to tdnam and tried to place a bid, i could not find the domain with my Firefox browser, when i tried IE, it was there.

i guess sometimes browsers do play a part....or maybe it's just me

zabijaq, I know what happened to you today.

I don't usually wait until the last eight seconds, but more like two minutes and eight seconds before I bid. However today, twice when I was bidding, the bid was accepted at one minute and fifty five seconds, and then again at one minute and fifty three seconds..... even though I had bid at around two minutes and eight seconds.

I finally realized that the bids were not "timed" correctly with the clock. I say that because my bids were applying immediately but the clock was more than ten seconds off. It did not take more than 10 seconds to process the bids, only about two seconds, which tells me they have a bug in the system.

I know it might not get 11k but still it will be nice buy.

Seabass -> so we see TDNAM -> auctions.godaddy.com was one step forward two steps back :)

Never mind, I got nice picks for days ahead, hope some will stay slightly under radar and I'll get them very cheap. ;)

Adult traffic is nothing to get excited about as it gets deindexed faster than any other traffic.

11,000 can go to 1,000 or less overnight...... it's best not to overpay.

Dating/relationship is another story though.... if it is that type.

OP,

If you had a blog, I would read it.

I've recieved e-mail that they can't give me answer so they have pushed it to technicians (hope it's not bullsh!t).

But I'll probably recieved: Sorry we can't do anything with it :(

You need to use a TDNAM / Godaddy Auctions Sniper Program ... that should help you out alot.

I even tried 20 seconds before closing, the same thing. So you should try before 30 seconds at least.
