Still possible to catch a pending release auction with no bids after the auction ended?

Recently I came across a pending release domain on NameJet I was interested in but accidentally placed the bid a second too late and the auction ended up ending with no bidders. Is there a way I can still manage to catch this domain? Does the auction go to pending delete afterwards for a whole 30 days? Can I pay a website to catch it for me?

If you mean pre-release, it might be a domain that was put up for auction by a Namejet member. Check the whois for the domain and depending on the status and expiry, it might be the case. IF so, you can reach out to the domain owner if they are willing to sell

If it doesn't get renewed by the owner and the registrar is not squatting on it for their own portfolio (In theory this could happen) it will probably go to Redemption Grace Period soon. This will last for 30 days . Then it will go to Pending Delete for 5 days. After that it will become available.

In some cases the domain will still be available to buy from the registrar expired auctions.

So far I have seen this only happening with domains at Name.com
