.mobi Still not convinced that 2007 is "The Year of the Mobile Web"?

Whoah! Well, I guess we were starting from a fairly low base... our top-level domain was only a few months old then. But nevertheless, the growth curve is astonishing. We have more than ten times as many pages being indexed today than we did back at the start of the year.

As proof of our confidence in this year's growth of the mobile web, and the .mobi domain in particular, this is fabulous.

Of course these figures aren't about us. They're all thanks to the hundreds of thousands of domain holders and site owners out there who are demonstrably living the mobile dream.

Roger that! Develpment from "all us is the key", great post rep added. By the way I am on my 8th mobi site soon And spent about 5 hours updating information on my others today hungover and submiting them to every thing I could find. :hehe:

Yes, it is. That is the key in any extension.

The reason I think .mobi has a better chance than the others is because of the 2 billion potential users out there. There are not 2 billion potential users for .info, .tv, .biz, or even .com for that matter.

Even if .mobi only gets a small slice of that pie, it could still prove to be extremely successful indeed.

Nice job, Biff.....8 developed is good work. I've got 5, working on 3 more.
It is a bit of work, but it is also fun and rewarding to see your work online.

Many on this board own hundreds of .mobi's, if we get to work developing we CAN make a difference.

garrett200, you are a breath of fresh air.....Exactly right. .mobi does not need to be the King of the mobile world, only a player.

At May’s All Things Digital conference in San Diego, Google’s chief executive, Eric Schmidt, said: “What’s interesting about the ads in the mobile phone is that they are twice as profitable or more than the non-mobile phone ads because they’re more personal.”

Our time is coming, and .mobi will be a player!
