I personally think that these sales prices are for the most part very reasonable and the reason why most didn't sell was the high reserve prices many had set.

I'm interested to hear your views on the state of the 2/3 letter market now that the auction results are in.

Thanks

personally the prices to me look very low. I would have thought some would have gone a lot higher.

have to agree there. especially the 2 letter .com's. HB.com for only $100k...incredibly undersold imho

I also think some names were undersold.
But I wouldn't say that if I were the buyer

OWN.com - $115,000 is a hell of a steal. That buyer will make their money back in a hurry with a site for first-time home buyers. Could also be used for e-commerce and such.

Thats a sweety :xf.love: I am surprised more 2 letter ones did'nt sell (I don't know what all the reserves were though).

Shame to see HI.net - Not sold :td:

I bet hun.net gets more traffic than any of them :hehe: I wonder why

It has an overture of 4703 with extension !

Yes I agree there were some steals here...and the 15 or 20% in commissions the sellers had to pony up only makes it worse.

Can't really add much other than agreeing with the "incredible steals" on a couple of the names. There is so much own.com could be used for...

Am I right in thinking that all of the 'not sold' domains were because the reserve was not met?

15-20% commissions ?

And I thought Sedo had high commissions.

As some of the others have said, I think some of the sales were decent, but in general the prices were lower than where I expected. I think this can be primarily accounted for in the simple fact that the low end reseller market is not necessarily the same market as the high end end user/high end reseller market. Just because the low end markets are exploding, doesn't mean the same thing when it comes to the bigger domains. It will be interesting to see if this trend in the higher end markets continues down to the low end reseller market, or what will happen in the future.

I think some of the sales were exceptional. Own.com very cheap, many of the other 3 letter .com were probably way overpriced /reserve in anticipation of traffic delegates having money to burn- wrong place (most of them know the business) - should try snapnames where little sense prevails.

There has been a marked slowdown in overall domain sales in recent months, maybe price anticipation too high , buyers limited to resellers with end users baulking at high prices, traffic being the prime objective for most buyers, too many landrushes - many more factors influencing the market.
