It is truly been an eye opener with the recent thread regarding OWNTHISDOMAINNOWs’ experience with Enom. A lot of us are still shaking our heads in disbelief at the contemptuous way OWNTHISDOMAIN was treated and openly so on this forum.
Whilst Dangerous Dan is but one employee of Demand Media/Enom, the fact that he was given the microphone so to speak to post publicly in what must go down in history as one of the most disastrous public relations exercises I have ever witnessed, is what is so surprising.
Here is what is not surprising. All those who are of an opinion, an opinion that they are prepared to share publicly as well as privately, have overwhelmingly come out in support of OWNTHISDOMAINNOW.
It is amazing how, over time, people who share a common interest, a similar passion, and whom post on the odd occasion or on a daily basis on this .TV sub forum, a natural bond forms, based upon a foundation of mutual support and respect.
Equity, you have created something very special here, and if it was not for the negative attitudes from Dangerous Dan, perhaps we would never have realized what we have here.
And for that we should be truly grateful.
Having said this, I can confirm that I will be speaking with Quinn Daly over the coming days regarding all the goings on aswell as Demand Medias' aspirations over the short and long term. It is right and fair that Demand Media be given the opportunity to respond in a no holds barred yet non hostile environment interview. Quinn has made it clear that she will do her best to answer ANY question I put to her. And in my opinion, that is the first step in the right direction Demand Media is taking - I will of course keep everyone informed of this interview, both on and off the .TV forum by the end of next week.
