Probably old threads about this but I thought I would start a new one!

I'll kick this off!

Something about me that most people don't know.

Almost every night, I fall asleep then wake up in the middle of the night for ice cream. It's the weirdest thing.

May have been 25 or so years ago. My memory is

Crazy thing is...I started my company, then two years into it i was nearly out of money...then, like a rocket, the company took off!

Grew to almost 200 employees and i was inducted into the Inc500!

That year my company sat with the likes of Oracle and other amazing companies. My company was number 354 of the 500 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in the U.S.

True story.

No. 15 years later, in 2008, I had to close my baby. Economy went south.

It was amazing though.

I went on to buy another business which was a mistake. Since then, ive worked as a consultant and turnaround specialist. I am also a real estate agent and mortgage broker. Love what i do.

Life is pretty awesome.

What fueled the rise of my company was that, believe it or not I was one of the early adopters of the www. i used email to get leads. Back then, noone believed the web was any good for business. At my peak i was emailing 60 million emails per month.. Over the years acquisition costs went through the roof. More email, leads...and more companies using email(spam now).

Thats what happened.

Kind of how I became a jack of all trades. When you own a big company, you learn marketing, branding, sales, and so on.

I don't know if I should ever have said this but.....

DON'T MESS WITH THE TASSELS ON MY RUGS!!

I actually have a little rake to straighten out the tassels on my rugs. Then some oblivious friend comes in without actually stepping over the tassels. All the while I'm thinking WHY WHY WHY must you step on my tassels.

HeHeHe, I can guaranteeeeeeee you it cannot get any more anal than that.

I used to like freshly vacuumed carpet. Just don't step on it. Not possible right?
