Sold Domain at Sedo = No Payment, Happened to you?

Well, I want to see how many others this has happened to?

I have sold 4 domains at sedo.com auction. 2 paid, 2 not paid.

Has this happened to you, and what is your percentage of it happening?

50% here. Which I feel is Not Good. Something needs to be done about people bidding and not paying. There should be a Fee Charged and the domain owner should get 75% and sedo the other 25% of the fee. IMO

Feb 2007 : sold 1 domain (auction) - paid Feb 2007 (4100 EUR)
April 2007 : sold 4 domains (auction) - all paid May 2007 ($2250)

Afternic charges buyers a $1 fee to sign up. I think this nominal amount weeds out many of the jokers, but it's impossible to keep them all out. Just part of doing the business.

I was selling about 4 a month with no problem then the last 4 offers (didn't send to auction either) never paid. I don't know if someone is/was trying to turn people off sedo by making false offers but it worked for me. I took all my names away from sedo and have tried 1plus which I like (although I would like the option for channels for my adsense).

Yes happened to me recently, someone won one of my names at auction and never paid. Sedo were not very helpful.

Well, Grasshopper.org went thru, and it looks like DJH.mobi is not getting paid for. The last one was CoreCulture.com and they kept it locked in my account for over a month. So they better not do it with DJH.mobi as that is a joke.

Not far enough! There should be a policy of having payment details on file and automatically deducting payment!

I agree it happen it me. but that was for a low xx domain name. I had about 10 domain names go through. 9 paid 1 unpaid. what's their deal they haven't been very help full. they should know they are just making a bad name for them selfs. Sedo get your get your act together.

My closest was with a domain that the buyer DID pay for but then opt out of receiving it because they were too pissy to accept a registrar-to-registrar push. I wasn't able to allow a transfer (standard 60-day wait for new domains) so the buyer opt out and was refunded. Eh... the domain was worth more than he won it for, anyway.
