Congrats for amazing sales, you are really lucky on domaining... I hope for all domainers too
Domaining is a crazy game, you never know what could work for you. Congratulations on your sale 👏💰
Congrats friend! It always happens this way, totally upredictible, lol.
This only proves that when you have good new gTLDs (and you definitely have such names), it can be very profitable venue
Oh, and you probably made highest reported sale for .life so far, this is my most favourite extension - thanks for sharing
Honestly I am so happy for you
Congrats. This is awesome.
Side note: You need to buy lottery tickets every day. The chances of even selling these two names are so incredibly tiny, but selling them at this price is just WOW.
😮 nGTLDs 😁
Yes, I have not many domains that I registered at the very beginning.
I registered most of my domains after the drop.
I was little late for this game... )) But I quickly caught up this game in 2016 and after when I realized what I have to do and I learned it fast.
In 2015, I had zero knowledge in domaining, I didn’t even know that the Namepros exists )))
I also dropped some of my domains, which I registered with zero knowledge at the beginning, and for other reasons.
I can’t say just a few words about my portfolio, it consists of five different investment parts where I am in the green right now , and one part is the domains that I bought (it would be better to say I'm still paying $180,000 installment) as the end user (but I don't use these domains right now)
My investment part is about $28,000/year in renewals, I'm in the green here. ))
Congrats on the sale
Very big congratulations for your sales! And thank you for reporting them here.
This is an example of how to do it. Some people would have sold them for $3,800 and $2,500. So this is really an example of how to value correctly your online assets.
I see that NewWork.com is also a german software company, maybe is the same who bought New.Work
In the other hand, the minimum offer for AllLife.com is $50,000. So I think this has helped the purchase of All.Life for the half price, $25,000.
We should learn to value our online assets and price them accordingly, and not sell them for peanuts. Then everybody of us would gain at the end. In my opinion.
What are those "five different investment parts", can you please specify? You mean each part is defined per TLD, or how they are defined?
Yes it's them. They bought this domain before New.Work
They also bought .net and .org most likely in the last month. September-October.
They don’t use this .com yet for the main purposes, there’s just a landing page, It was the same in March.
They have and use a different "hyphenated" .com right now. They applied for a new trademark and looks like what they want to rebrand or open a new company.
This company is independent but has very close relations with SAP.
Amazing sales! Congratulations
Five parts is the separation of the entire portfolio by quality of the domains...
1. best - There are about 30 of them.
Some of them are not for sale right now, and some are for sale for $100K+
For most of them, I received the big offers for sale.
2. good - Approximately 50% of them are on my website: https://new.life
3. medium quality - $1,000-$2,500. And I selling them!
4. poor quality (but I know that I can sell these domains for $250-$900. And I do it.)
5. all the rest (including those domains that I don’t need but I don’t want to throw them away.)
I forgot about the sixth part - experimental part.
For example, this is - MONEY.INC etc...
You just made my day. Love seeing such sales!
Congratulations and I hope to see you more here
Thanks, that's exactly they way to go imo!
Btw, experimental part is very important, as no "pro" or "domain academy" can tell us anything at the moment about certain extensions - we need to test it by ourself.
Very glad you got nice sales, and I am 100% sure the best sales are still awaiting in future
Made my day! This is why I love (Have an unhealthy addiction to,) domaining.
Crazy sales!! Anything is possible.
I'll be posting a thread like this one day.
If true, congratulations, but I am highly skeptical as first of all both domains mentioned are currently both resolving with no SSL which is questionable 7 months after someone paid such top money and doesn't secure their site, but more alarming is that both domains have not been updated on or near march 1st 2019 to be exact all.life registered on 07-01-2015 updated 06-20-2019 and does Not Resolve to a web page!
For New.work was Creation Date: 2016-08-26 and Updated Date: 2019-08-04
New.work redirects to UnitedDomains.com who is a registrar.
Nonetheless all this sounds fishy like Nemo ! Whatever your point is if it was important to share please clarify these multiple inconsistencies.
On a side note: what triggered me is " The buyer paid the BIN price without any negotiations." !!!!
I've sold over 100 domains on Sedo-Afternic-Godaddy Etc for and never once ever has a buyer not made an offer of at least 200-500 USD less, even if just symbolically any buyer 98% of the time will offer afew bucks less.
Anyhow all the best, but in my opinion these sales never occurred
Congrats on your sales- you must have been beaming that night! Really appreciate you sharing, because these are shining examples of smart end users finding the right name for themselves and not settling. I think your names demanded the asking price, this is gTLD penetration where it counts. Really impressed with how long you were able to hold off before announcing the sales.
Love to see great taste in nG's, and your payoff proves the reward may be worth the risk even with premium renewals toppling the $100/year and holding for the right buyer. There's only a few here on NP that do so, @Alessandro Couteau being another.
Twice in one night is definitely not the norm and both 5 digit sales to boot, for sure it whets your appetite for more, but it might not happen again for many months or even years. But with more investors and even experienced ones dipping their toes, it just takes patience and the right names for the right buyers and these bigger sales will be less infrequent.
Just one thing to mention to newer gTLD investors- if you think you have a very high quality name, but have been impatient to sell and it hasn't even after a year or two, and if you are lucky enough to be paying a regular yearly fee for it, aka non-premium, to keep in mind many registries now will reclassify previously owned domains as premium and jack up the yearly fee if you decide to drop it.
Congratulations again New.Life- wtg.
Congrats on your sales, they are outliers, and it was good you had BIN's, as if you didn't you might have settled for less. I would recommend you don't put all the money back into gtld domains, it will be very tempting to reinvest, and roll the dice, the odds are against you, take your time, be patient, and deploy those funds carefully.
Congratulations and wow!
Fantastic new gtld domain names. YOU are VERY SMART with a Great EYE for Quality Domains. CONGRATS! Just goes to show what new gtlds are worth.
Separate names with a comma.
