Alexandre Pato, the 18 year old Brazilian wonder kid and playing for A.C. Milan for the past year is a name to remember

Indeed he is a talent. He may be the next Andreï Chevtchenko

Lets see what Jose Mourinho can do at Inter Milan. He has a habit of creating a lot o controversy wherever he is, but he's also proved to be a very good coach. I think he will have a harder time convincing Italians, who are very football smart. :talk:

i support flamengo from rio de janeiro and leonrdo moura and bruno (goalkeeper)

flamengo has between 33 and 40 million suporters in brazil and it is the lasrgest one here :)

the biggest audience in a soccer game was in 1963 when flamengo and fluminense at maracanã with 194,603 people D-:
flamengo played 102 games watched for more than 100,000 people D-:

it was toyota's champion in 1981 when it beat liverpool (3-1)
it is five times brazilian championship

Yes, the famous FLU-FLA games. :kickass: Does Maracanã still hold 200.000 people or has that been reduced.
Also I heard that Maracanã would come down to be replaced by a modern stadium. Is this true?

Flamengo and Fluminense have seen better days. Are they getting strong again?

maracanã today has its capacity reduced to about 80,000 people

it was in the news ti would come down but nothing happened since then and we might have news about this as world cup in 2014 will be here and it needs many improvements

however its design must be kept (the extenal one i mean) becuase it is protected by brazilian laws and it can not be destroyed

in the 80's flamengo won 4 brazilian championships, 1 libertadores da américa (same as UEFA champions) and fluinense won 1 brazilian championship; in the 90's teams from são paulo won most of the brazilizn championship and flamengo was the champion in 1992 (oour last)

besides, we have brazil's cup where flamengo won twice (1990 and 2006) and fluminense in 2007 and the champion goes to libertadores da américa together with the four first in the brazilian championship

fluminense was the vice-champion in libertadores da américa on wednesday when lost to LDU (from equador) in penalty kicks

we are in the 9th round of the brazilian championship and flamengo is the 1st one but fluminense is the last, so they are stronger again

Carlos Queiroz has succeeded Luiz Felipe Scolari as coach of Portugal's national team.

The 55-year-old Queiroz, who had been Alex Ferguson's assistant at Manchester United for the past four years, signed a four-year contract with the Portuguese football federation today.

He is the 2nd best Portuguese coach after Jose Mourinho

My Grandpa was telling me the other day about the Scottish Cup final he went to see as a wee boy. 147,365 tickets sold with many more climbing over the walls for free! :hehe: Think its the European record.
