I'm in need of some cash ($100-300 or so) so I decided to offer my freelance writing service to those interested.
I am a high school grad and former college student. I was removed from the latter to undergo an operation that it turns out I cannot have. Rather than returning to college, I opt to stay home and pursue a writing career. My first novel, "Dehumanizer," is sitting in the offices of the US Library of Congress. There are complications as we speak but I'm hoping to have the manuscript in the hands of agents soon. I plan on starting a second book shortly. But it's a matter of getting extra cash NOW opposed to after a book sale that brings me to the text you are now reading.
A few facts:
I've been known to freelance for an array of small businesses and websites. Sadly, I haven't a portfolio since every site I did work on tanked horribly and is no longer online.
I am a co-founder of the website www.hostfreedom.com The backend fell and the service died. The domain was then given to one of the other co-founders who (to my knowledge) owns & operates the current incarnation of the site.
I was also hired to do work on the once-popular www.muttle.com but it also lost its backend and after the popularization of Myspace, Muttle never recovered.
I have an above-average knowledge of the English language, as evident by Government testing. For example, I took the college-level ACTs in Ohio back in 2003. Without prior knowledge of the testing and no time to study, I complied a score that ranked 96% higher than EVERY Ohio student who had taken the same test that year.
I will be unavailable in awhile due to my work on a second book. As well, I need to do final edits to my first book. But to make some cash now, I'm opening myself up to freelance work. Here's what I offer:
I can write you an individual page or a short series of pages. These can be splash pages, a FAQ -- whatever you desire. I can write them at any length. Even if you require 10,000 words, I can do it.
I can do forum-posting as well. I'd ask for $0.15 to $0.20 per post or one-cent per word.
I am skilled enough to write anything utilizing any writing style. I will write everything -- even forum posts -- in MS Word to ensure the work is grammatically accurate and that the spelling is proper. I can write on any niche but there are a few that I excel at. These are:
English / writing / poetry
HTML
Baseball (MLB mostly) including commentaries, previews, etc.
Politics
Movies & film including reviews, general commentary, etc
Advice including life, dating/romance and coping with loss
Narratives (fiction or nonfiction)
Domaining including current trends, valuations, commentaries etc
