Expressions of Interest Wanted

Hi there everyone..

A website I currently run is in need of a bit of revamping, and I'm after expressions of interest from designers/developers to do the work.

The website is http://www.iWin.com.au - basically an online competitions listing plus free games, etc, targetted at Australian audiences.

Now, I realise this job is a bit 'vague' but basically what I was looking for was;

Functional:
- new / refreshed design
- keep all existing functionality, PLUS:
- add 'members section'
- add discussion forum
- enhanced advertiser management
- allow for opening pop-up when leaving site (not when navigating within)
- allow for timed 'intermission' type adverts on certain features
- OPTIONAL- multiuser games (if you already have some scripts)

Technical;
- get rid of frames
- search engine optimisation (inc mod_rewrite)
- statistics / activity tracking
- users online (regardless of whether in 'website' or 'forum')
- target technology;
- - java / jsp (e.g. tomcat), or PHP
- - open source RDBMS (pref MySQL or PostgreSQL)
- - must run on Linux
- - happy for you to incorporate other scripts / products as long as they are appropriately licensed, and are either well-known and/or include source code
- need to keep existing data (either migrate or use existing schema)

The current technology used is mostly ColdFusion / BlueDragon for presentation / logic (hey, it's what I was into at the time!), plus PostgreSQL database. The database schema is fairly platform neutral - I moved it from MS SQL with minimal problems. Site runs on a dedicated server so I can install any scripts / tools / technologies /etc needed.

How to Respond:

Please post or PM me with your initial proposal including;
- creatives ideas (ie what sort of look & feel would you propose - feel free to put together mock-ups although this isn't a requirement)
- proposed technical solution
- indicative cost estimate (obviously will be refined based on futher discussion / specification)
- details of relevant previous work (inc URLs or screenshots)
- Please respond by Sunday March 27.
If you're going to respond, please let me know by Friday March 17, even if you haven't worked out details yet.

Moving Forward:

If any of the proposals seem suitable I'll negotiate with one or more proposers after March 27. If we go ahead then we'll work out next steps for refining requirements & going through development, including when & how payments will be made.
