Are signature links as good as having a link on a website? Is there a difference?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I don't think they will have much difference.
But if the link appears too often on the same page, it may look suspicious

Signature are rather a good way to have instant traffic than as a back link.

signatures are also likely to get a site indexed faster if that's what you're looking for. in the long run, a "real" backlink is likely to last longer and help with your pagerank. also, the nature of the forum where a signature link is placed, and the nature of the websites make a difference too. if you have a car website, your link will probably do better on a car website than a cookies forum, etc.

If the site has rel="nofollow" - it is of little use in terms of seo - but if you are leaving smart posts, people might click you signature link..

So it is helping out.

From what I have seen, 15-20% of signature links actually get counted. So getting several thousand posts helps a lot yes!

I've also got decent PR by just placing links in my signatures at different forums, so I must say its also worth for SEO.

Signature links are good to get your site noticed and for click through traffic to your website. For maximum SEO benefit, I think actual links are better.

For getting a better signature CTR% make your signature stand out! It will still be good back links even if it looks fancy so someone would click on it, if you make yous signatures like a ebay ad you will get clicks! I have done this on several forums and it works!

Could someboy please help me with this ?.

Why is a signature from someone who has 2000 posts more important than the signature from a newbie like me ???

Is it just for the number of posts ?
is there any other reason ?

2000 > 10
2000 posts -> 1000+ pages: Your links will be in 1000+ page if your links is in signature of 2000 poster -> get more chance for clicking thru, more chance for being cached by serach engine
That's it!

It's also that an established member is more likely to keep posting in the forum (thus increasing the amount of pages the link is displayed on). Usually, people buy forum signatures in installments of months, so they want to have as much exposure as possible during that time. This is why the signature of an established member (with more posts) is more valuable than one of a new member (with fewer posts).

Welcome to NamePros! :xf.love: Your signature will increase in value over time as you post!

Signature helping out for PR growing or for SERP as well?

They can help but they are not as useful as content links

Case 1 : Say If the link A and link B is on same site X i mean same domain than it matter to have link on signature because it helps to increase the back link and page rank too where as on the other hand Site X Link A and B only transfers us to the next page.

Case 2 : Say if Site X and Site y are two web site and Site Y link is on Site X than in this case it does not matter because both help to in crease back link as well as page rank.

Hope this make you clear .

Thanks
