Yup! You knew eventually someone had to do it and create this thread.

So who's got one? Better be ready to bring your A Game! and be prepared to get major criticism! lol

Let's see who can follow instructions.

I know opinions vary and everyone will probably drop their crappy obviously NOT million dollar domain here.

So I don't want to make enemies and be the one to report someone posting a non-million dollar domain.

So.............let's do it this way. Post your million dollar domain. Has to be worth or can be sold for $1 million dollars AND UP.

If your domain gets 3 or more dislikes. I'll report it and it will get deleted. You should know if you really have a million dollar domain.

So if you post one on here that isn't one. Then you are just trying to take advantage and break the rules.

But I'll the "room" decide.

So 5 or more dislike and you get reported for submitting an obviously non- million dollar domain.

Oh and final rule.

ONLY ONE DOMAIN AT A TIME! no exceptions! thanks!

For reference here's a list of top sales.

I'll start here's my million dollar domain.

Primorsky.com

Primorsky Krai is a planned development in Eastern Russia. 8 casinos are already scheduled for development.

It's planned on becoming the "Las Vegas of the East" and to compete for the customers of Macau.

It is right on the border with China and opens up to the sea of Japan. so it can accommodate Korean and Japanese Gamblers.

It seems that I missed the disagrees for this post?

I'm guessing the question here is whether my domain is really a million dollar domain?

Given what the current value is for Lasvegas.com and Vegas.com and Macau.com. All casino gambling destinations.

Is it really difficult to agree that Primorsky.com will be a million dollar domain today or someday?

Primorsky.com is an exact match domain in .com just like Moscow.com or London.com or Paris.com and all other geo domains owned buy pear.com.

I repeat there are 8 multi billion casino and resort projects under contract to be built in this area. Not to mention multi billion dollar infrastructure plans like train tracks from China to this area plus a marina for future docks for cruise ships and luxury yachts. Plus plans for an F1 track/ grand prix course.

If you guys @monotheist @bmugford @MadAboutDomains @Jayboltz @karmaco @HappyW

If you don't change your disagree to agree or dislike to like in say the next 48 hours then as per my own rules I will report my own thread and have it deleted.

Technically as per my own rules it is more than 5 DISLIKES to get reported not more than 5 disagrees.

So technically I don't need to report myself.

Feel free to change your disagrees to dislikes.
Or not.
I thought this was a good thread to make. Just trying to make things interesting. I guess it's not appreciated or just my domain primorsky.com is not a million dollar domain

No matter. do what you want. Make your appropriate choices and I'll take the next step and if necessary delete this thread.

No sweat off my plums.

Also I don't think I specified that your domain needed to have been sold for $1+ million dollars in the past to be considered a million dollar domain. Nor did I specify whether it can be sold for over $1 million right now. Kinda left that open ended. Meaning can Primorsky.com ever be sold for over $1 million say 5 to 10 years from now? Once there is 8 casinos built and operating? I think so. It is within reason.

So please don't be upset I posted it here. Without a pause or thought I genuinely believe it is a million dollar domain based on geo comps and data.

if hard concrete data and comps indicate that your domain can possibly sell for $1+ million dollars? Then why should it not be showcased here and liked?

I'll leave it up to you guys. Looks like I wasted my time creating a thread that I thought others would benefit from or at least be entertained by.

Do whatever. I'll give you 48 hours to make the changes. If not then I'll have mods delete my OP which will close this thread. Thanks.

Everybody is a critic.
Everyone has an opinion.
Being critical is easy.
But "if you have nothing nice to say keep it to yourself" is difficult? borderline impossible?

Something is definitely wrong with the world.lol

I have sold to Viking river cruises before, and he is a tough buyer, my guess if you catch him on a good day, in a great mood , pre pandemic you could have maybe got $5K for that name.

Yea figure that. I'm more steering towards Sir Branson. I know the "guy" you are talking about. I've seen his whois info in the regs for viking. He's on each and everyone of them.

$5,000 really?

I'll wait after pandemic then. Thanks for info.

Failed to stick to the rules of his own post and posted three names that aren't even close to valuable, let alone 1 million USD. :hungover:

I wonder if this should probably be in the appraisals section instead as we're essentially appraising the names.

Is it a good idea to be reporting posts because of some dislikes according to your criteria? Could end up wasting the mods time...

Probably not a good idea but a worse idea is for me to be the judge. Its better this way. And I do see you have taken full liberties with the disagree button. Switch those to dislikes and I'll get this thread deleted. Tell a friend! Lol

If I hold it long enough it will be worth...one million dollars....bwahaha. Trouble is, by then a beer will cost 8 million dollars.

I'm going to like this one but surprised no one is mashing the dislike button on this one. Especially with all the dislikes for primorsky.com

No offense @Reddstagg

I don't think that the thread should be deleted, I just don't think that you should post it with a load of rules attached and then break your own rules and post names in it that aren't worth it and devalue your post from the moment it is posted.

I'd love to see people's 1 million $ USD plus domains if they really have them...

DI.com is stonkingly good domain. Could be 1 million if they find the right buyer.

It is unfortunate that I decided to add my domain primorsky.com to my OP.

Just used it as a quick example from my inventory wasn't trying to be slick and permanently make primorsky.com a "million dollar domain "

Again as per the rules I will delete this thread because primorsky.com is not a million dollar domain. (Supposedly)

Pretty funny actually. Lol thanks.

There is no doubt that it will rapidly appreciate in value, even millions of dollars.
But I still believe Primorsky can't compete with LasVegas. Russia's economy is far below that of the US or even China. And the cold climate in Russia makes it impossible to even 'go surfing' after getting enough 'chips'.:xf.grin:

It seems that I missed the disagrees for this post?

I'm guessing the question here is whether my domain is really a million dollar domain?

Given what the current value is for Lasvegas.com and Vegas.com and Macau.com. All casino gambling destinations.

Is it really difficult to agree that Primorsky.com will be a million dollar domain today or someday?

Primorsky.com is an exact match domain in .com just like Moscow.com or London.com or Paris.com and all other geo domains owned buy pear.com.

The market is not Russia but China,Japan,Korea and Russia last.

It is targeting the same market that made Macau the 90 billion a year producer while las Vegas was max generating 9 billion year.

Brad
Voice.com at $30 million? Maybe $1-$5 million but $30 million without a sales pitch? Doubt it.

Data and comps don’t sell names for 1 mill plus. They just show why you think they should garner that kind of price.

As Brad said, a name worthy of that price doesn’t need a sales pitch.

Alright alright. I have provided a list from namebio of all domains that have sold for above $1 million.

So I'm guessing the mindset here is because Primorsky.com never sold for $1 million it never will? comps or data be damned? that it?

ok so with that mindset.

you guys have seen the list of million dollar sales.

Assuming how many words are in the dictionary and how many possible 2N and 2L and even 3N and 3L .com's there are in the world.

should we assume because those that are not on the list are not million dollar domains? simply because they are not on that list?

because it seems the only true test that a domain is a million dollar domain is whether it sold in the past for over a million.

There are many domains that should sell for over a million dollars that are not on that list.
there are domains that technically SHOULD sell themselves because they are single dictionary keywords or whatever.

but even then they are not on that list. Think those domains don't need a sales pitch to sell for a million dollars and up?

at the end of the domain it all boils down to public sentiment or opinion. kind like how I personally feel about Primorsky.com.

Primorsky.com is a single word geo domain for a future casino hub.

"a name worthy of that price doesn’t need a sales pitch."
"Million dollar domains don't need sales pitches."

contrary to the "cool" sounding belief that million dollar domains don't need sales pitches.

Are we saying that if an enduser came knocking on your door for your dictionary keyword .com domain? that you would simply reply.

"So you want my domain Chicken.com? and you are KFC?
So yea. the price is $2 million dollars. Send me a check."

that's it? and the domain will get sold because KFC wants it bad enough and it's a good domain?

Is this how it really works? no waiting game? They just write a check because you asked for $2 million dollars?

you as the seller won't need to "salespitch"? lol I find that very hard to believe.

The truth is every domainer will do whatever is necessary to sell a domain.

People always say on here that selling domains is not easy.
If we extrapolate difficulty with money amounts.

A domain that is difficult to sell because it's priced at $10,000?
Then a domain where you are asking for $2 million has to be way more difficult.

the equation can't be "oh it's a $2 million domain. It will sell it self. no need for a salespitch."

I know a bunch of big time domain brokers who would disagree. I mean these are people who justify their commission fees because of their skill at pitching a domain name to the buyer.

ergo. the need for a salespitch.

If it were THAT easy we wouldn't hear stories of million dollar sales ending up taking weeks, months or even years to happen.

best believe there was some form of "salespitching" going on during that time frame.

buyers always want to negotiate no matter how good your price is.

So when a buyer says "Can you do $1,500,000?"

Your reply will be? "No. $2,000,000. Take it or leave it."

Please note any word or sentence that comes after "No the price is $2 million" is going to be a "salespitch" to convince the buyer that $2 million is a good price to pay.

anything else is just some "cool" domainer fantasy.

unless of course your way is to list a domain on a marketplace with a buy now of $2 million. then yea. no salespitch.

this is probably why certain domains that should sell for their million dollar asking price never get sold because no one explains to them why it is a million dollar domain. aka the salespitch.

my domain? nobody knows what is going on in Primorsky. That billions are being invested. So of course at first glance Primorsky.com is not a million dollar domain name. just like how no one would have told InvestReit.com would have sold for $55K or CoinMena.com sold for $25K.

it's always those dark horse "out there" domain names that surprise people and sell for big money. We see such domain sales constantly on NP.

I've renewed Primorsky.com till 2028. I consider it my retirement fund.

but that's my opinion. let's just agree to disagree.

Just see it like this. A domain name like X.com is a million dollar name imho. Now, whether Elon decides to sell it for 300k tomorrow, doesn't stop the domain from being a million dollar domain in my eyes.

Whether freshly minted or dogeared, a dollar bill is still a dollar bill.

The thing with primorsky is that it's dependent on many outside factors to make it as valuable as you are projecting it will be in the future. It's value is not inherent.

Take crypto for instance. Crypto before 2010 was a nice name tied to encryptions and cryptology and was worth something. But cryptocurrency happened and catapulted crypto from a nice name with value to a million dollar name.

So, you have names like crypto.com on one hand, whose million dollar status was a case of happenstance and on the other hand, you have a name like A.com, whose million dollar status is a given. That's if they ever release that name

PS: A.com doesn't need a sales pitch to convince me it's worth a million dollars if not more. But, do I have a million dollars to spend on it or will I want to spend that amount on a domain name no matter how befitting? That's another matter altogether

Incredible names!!
62.com Currently a China based brokerage who also own some superb names.
I believe they will be launching an English version in the not too distant future that may give domainers more access to Chinese investors.

Double ii,Is that a misspell by you?

It is correct in so much as it is the actual domain name that I own but alas, it does have double 'ii' in the word. Someone beat me to the correctly spillled domain name. Daarn. Lol

Thank you

I'm sure that it doesn't work that way. Names that sell in the millions don't take effort to sell because the sales most likely come about organically. Someone wants it bad and is willing to pay top dollar for it.
