Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

Forgot about those, thanks. Although, isn't it a misnomer? The seeds must come from a flower, and hemp is not grown for the flowering buds, in fact hemp has no flowers.

In terms of producing stout, it is the hemp plant itself used for the malt, then?

No idea mate. It was until lately that I knew hemp isn't smoked lol.

What do you think?
For or from Asia? :)
Very generic keyword! Singular would be way better! Just my thoughts!
Correct me if I'm wrong:

Hemp- no altering nor consumable compounds, grown primarily for clothing, rope, creams etc
Cannabis- this has the active compounds that can be used for medicine, recreation and consumables (fused into beer and foods).

Yes?

So how does this make sense:

S t o u t H e m p
https://www.namepros.com/threads/need-help-with-counter.1109637/#post-6982239

Seems sold for 1k, to a very misinformed buyer? Or are we drinking beer clothes now?
Simply put..
Cannabis has two main types of plants..Female which contains the THC/CBD/CBN etc
Male (Hemp) no THC or near zero amount..and there is the "hermie" (both sexes but very rare)
informational link but not endorsing product..
http://www.white-widow-seeds.com/white-widow-female-and-male-plants-differences.html

Note it is a very specialized science in seeds..

Regarding "StoutHemp(dot)com...maybe brandable, or family getting into the "hemp" market!
Not sure if "hemp" can be used in brewing beer like barley/oats/etc!

(UPDATE) seem better answer provide above, so just ignore my rambling lol!

Legal marijuana in Kansas? Incoming governor supports medical use
Medical marijuana moved closer to legalization in Kansas with the election of Laura Kelly, a supporter who soon will be governor.

Kansas is now surrounded on three sides by states with either legalized recreational or medical marijuana use, after Missouri voters approved medical use last Nov. 6. Thirty-two states allow some form of medical marijuana use.

2. Cbd extracts. They will put the flowers into a extractor and get oils. Then put this into a " stout " and or other consumables.

Hope this helps
It does, thanks for the clarity. Looks like I need to brush up on my beer-making knowledge. Didn't realize people are looking for the "taste" rather than the "drunkeness" of hemp, which would be an impossibility. It's the process which gives the alcoholic levels in beer, not the source of the malt.

I agree and think this can only be applied to certain regions. Maybe have a domain with that region would help.

The " Fun " part of a cbd drink will be very comparable to a apv in a beer. The drinks will be marketed like beer; the same model for beer distrbution, mini kegs and kegs on tap will be a point of distribution; as well as bottles and cans just like beer.

6 BIllion gets alot of research and lobbying efforts and super Pac funds to ensure a national platform for the beer manufactures. The existing distribution and licensing will be used. Shelf space in grocery stores will simply be replaced with a fun cbd / hemp drink.

They won't ( my opinion ) double dip in a beer and cbd drink, alcohol and cbd will be a public relations nightmare combined; plus double the regulatory compliance and taxes.

They will call these new drinks beer I feel and twist the " meaning " of beer; despite it not being a hops based suds.

Root beer is a example of how beer can be used as beer. It's a fermented drink.
0 alcohol. Cbd drinks may use the existing synonym of " beer " and comparable products like Stout.

The drinks potentially will be 0 calories and NO hangover.

I'd think the holy grail of any Beer or spirits manufacturer.

Interesting article -

By using a blend of CBD and adaptogenic herbs in its sparkling water recipe, Recess hopes to carve out a spot in the growing crowd of CBD-infused beverages that it predicts will be ‘bigger than energy drinks’ in the next 10 years.

I am getting offers for CBDey.com , the highest being $125 , I am a bit surprised I am even getting any offers this early in the game. I am going to hold, as I usually do, see what happens.

He’s almost 3 years into the application process so it’s not been granted yet. Not sure if you can exercise a TM from date of filing or date it’s awarded?

@Keith that is a legal question that should be answered by a Trademark Specialist.

Please note the extension...an International Trademark requires registering with Madrid - The International Trademark System

Shatter, wax and other concentrates represent one of the fastest-growing product lines in the cannabis market, but few people understand how high-end extractions actually take place.

That’s a great start!! @Haykay2005

I am not sure the end users have progressed enough just yet to start getting their online presence, but I don’t expect it will be to much longer before they start seeking out names

Pffffft, they would either buy the name, if it was a big deal to them, or live with it, They would spend far more money filing a UDRP, than just buying it,

Once the farm bill passes and total access ( easily ) in TM courts becomes the norm. I'd presume there would be clawback and vigorous defense of all approved trademarks.
In Cbd and hemp. You get one you own the space. And cbd water I'd think is a pretty big thing.

I see those lined up right ( $$$$$ ) in TM court as Cbd becomes easier to use the federal TM system and banking. They will have a substantial marketing foothold. Especially these cbd water guys. Like wow what a opportunity.

I cant even fathom the difficulties and costs associated with getting a cbd trademark at this juncture. 3 years and alot of legal fees, at a minimum.

So the idea that a successful TM holder wouldn't vigorously go after anyone including domain holders is shortsighted.

And the other " they will buy it " for $300 that defense doesn't always work with in house council. I know first hand. Many corporate litigants prefer to do things the expensive way.

Cannabis is unlike any other TM case. One is dealing with a federal illegal Schedule #1 drug at this time. Few understand this actually, especially with branding, trademarks and plant patents involving genetics in this industry.

Sounds very logical, and greedy by corporate, not surprising though.

I have had a couple of corporate fucks try and put their foot on my neck in past years, I won both cases because my domain was registered before their TM was filed, I didn’t spend one dime in defense, counter suit is in order if they make threats via email or regular mail to wipe out your bank and try and take your livelihood . The shit goes both ways. They have far more money than me, if they fuck with me to much, and loose UDRP case, I will file on their asses next time, should have last time, but didn’t want lawyer fees.

"Required FYI's" in order to understand the really valuable question:

Please understand the "Pot Gold Rush" is (probably) one of the biggest opportunities you will see in your lifetime.

Paypal, Squarepay, etc have a AUP (acceptable use policy) which tries to be clear, but includes the wonderful phrase "topics related to"....

<snip> might add more later...</snip>

...
Cannabis is unlike any other TM case. One is dealing with a federal illegal Schedule #1 drug at this time. Few understand this actually, especially with branding, trademarks and plant patents involving genetics in this industry.

The really valuable question

* If there is an offer to sell tickets to a "real-world" event (i.e. at a college campus) related to 100% legal opportunities in Canada, and everyone involved in the "local realities", and earning profits from the events, are based in Canada, then is it safe to process payments through Paypal? (My answer == "I would certainly hope so")

** If someone is selling domains here at NP (for example) related to 100% legal opportunities in Canada, and excepting payments through Paypal (an American-based company), is the 100% innocent and legal seller at risk of violating the "topics related to" portion of Paypal's AUP, since it is still illegal in the USA?

>>>The above is (literally) a $100 Million Dollar Question, should we ask Paypal?
