Hi everyone,

I would love to see examples of what other people have come up in terms of customizing their parked pages. I think this is a good idea since it will inspire people to do better with their pages when they see what can be done with the limited customize options.

To kick it off, here are a few of my custom pages at Bodis:

http://MountainViewAreaCodes.com (Problem is, I think I am giving people what they want, the area codes, so there is no need for them to click anything!)

http://Bandylegged.com (Silly handdrawn logo using Paint and goofy pirate text using as many pirate buzz words as I can muster in a tiny space.)

http://PartituraDeAccordionGratis.com (My attempt at a Spanish site. My limited Spanish vocabulary forced me to double check it all using Babelfish. Wish the links could be in Spanish too. But yes, that LONG url does get visits!)

BTW, this thread does not have to be limited to Bodis. Feel free to show off some of Parked.com's new features too!

A suggestion for Parked (Donny, are you out there?) - a named anchor at the top of the template so we can provide a link back to the page top in our content without reloading the page...

Netmeg, I like what you did with the authority site links on that health site (did the same thing on one of my other pages - we'll see if it helps or not!)

On many of the parked pages you all have built, you have ads that run down a full page, just like Sedo and other parking services. I only know about Google Adsense. What PPC services are you using for supplying your ads? Who is the best? Any restrictions? Do they pay better than Adsense?

Has a great selection of pre-color schemed templates. You can also add content to the area below the content and outside the template. I've seen video embedded here. The Template. And I said template in the singular is just that. There is a large selection of rich photos. And a great keyword reader to aid in the template selection. Remember that the keyword edit function will open more templates than appear in the drop down window.

has a very basic template you can tweak the colors on. You can also add content to the body of the page. And upload img. or use a decent stock of pics provided. The emphasis here is on personalization. You can give your page an edgy feel or a soft classy feel via your pics. I've not tried to embed video yet. Also you will want to make sure you add your keywords manualy because there is no default feature to do so and you page will not displayat all. Just a single line of text telling you to set your keywords.

Although I have to admit, the rich content selection hasn't been my idea. This all carries the handwriting of Netmeg who's leading the trail in creativity and content ideas. I merely followed her path.

Lookin' good, IntelBank. Have you noticed any change in performance since you added the content? My results have been fairly good, but it's hard to tell conclusively yet. Not getting enough traffic on my alt health and acupuncture domains as yet to really be able to judge if the added content is helping or hurting. On the other hand, some of my other content-rich domains have taken off like wildfire right now with crazy good CTRs, so I gotta think the content is helping at least somewhat.

Not yet, i just got the 2 domains last night and added the content to it, so they're less than 24hrs old in my account by the time you looked at them. I'm considering options for traffic right now, as i can't really see someone type in Hemoglobin.us ... However, if the added content does make a difference, i'll be adding content to my main domains such as GPS.vc or OurTaxes.net. The question that's going through my mind though, is whether more added content is going to get my RPC rates back up. OurTaxes.net disintegrated from .60-.80 per click to .21 per click....
Also, the question of whether our content is getting indexed by the SEs...but i'll ask that again in the parked thread.
